Mad Dog is 100% right with his take on the Olympic Team. Ever excuse Stephan A and Jay give, is just pathetic. Most players of the team already played FIBA, they know the rules. And by talent, they should have beaten France by 15 points. Wemby played his first major tournament with the men`s national team, he had not more experience playing with that team as any US player had with his. The rest of the roster can`t match one position with the US team.
The only competitive teams in Paris with experienced rosters playing for 3-4 years together, were Germany, Canada, Serbia and Australia.
In my opinion, FIBA basketball simply highlights how good your basketball education and fundamentals are. US stars lake fundamentals and education of the game. They play AAU, 1 year run and gun college ball. And then enter the NBA way to young. In Europe, you often train twice a day. And you start to train and play as a teenager with the men`s team in practice, if you are a prospect. They build your knowledge of the game from the ground up.

If it wasn't for Curry, we weren't even medaling, these Olympics exposed how soft NBA players are. Players in the NBA aren't more "skilled" nor do they have more skill than old school players, they're just allowed to travel, carry, and get to the foul line because someone blew on them.
