Current NBA players Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Nikola Vucevic, Boban Marjanovic, Robin Lopez and Vlatko Cancar will participate at the event.

International basketball legends Dejan Bodiroga, Sasha Danilovic and Luis Scola will also be present.

Other former NBA players set to take part in the game include Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Leandro Barbosa, Vladimir Radmanovic, Sasha Pavlovic, Rasho Nesterovic, Beno Udrih, Primoz Brezec, Bostjan Nachbar, Zoran Dragic, Marko Simonovic and Marko Guduric.

The remaining participants are mostly current/former Slovenian players, as well as Miroslav Beric, who was an Olympic silver medalist, World Cup gold medalist and two-time EuroBasket champion with Yugoslavia.

The coaching staff includes former NBA coaches Alving Gentry, Kevin McHale and Igor Kokoskov, Miami Heat's assistant coach Chris Quinn, and high profile European basketball head coaches such as Bozidar Maljkovic and Sasha Djordjevic, as well as Slovenian basketball legend Jure Zdovc, among others.

Chris Bosh will be in attendance at the event, while Jimmy Butler was expected to be on the lineup, but had commitments in China he had to tend to.

"The Night of the Dragon" will take place on August 24th, with the drafting of the players expected to be held the night before.

The Stozice Arena in Ljubljana will be filled to the last seat, with the tickets being sold out in just 20 minutes.

    Wow, that’s an impressive lineup!

But, wasn’t Giannis meant to be there as well?

Props to him. He had higher ambitions when he was traded to Toronto and ultimately gets to close out his career with Luka and Jokic.

Didn’t know he garnered that much respect

A proper goodbye for a legend. Will be interesting to see if anyone in the national basketball federation dares to show their faces there

Incredible roster! Can’t believe tickets sold out that quick. This is going to be legendary!

  7. I’m just happy that according to a recent post I saw, Chris Bosh is lacing them up! He hasn’t played since he was medically retired because of his blood clots. Took his whole second act of his career out of his hands.

I wonder if Derrick Rose will make an appearance.

Dragic has been one of my favorite players since he came into his own in Phoenix and I loved watching him get better every year in his prime. Happy he is getting a grand send-off.

Luis Scola! Haven’t heard about him in a while. He was good in his NBA tenure.

  14. Not a bad career for a ā€˜Tragicā€™ as he was called in his first few seasons. Will always be in Sunsā€™ fans hearts for that 4th quarter one-man show against our friends from San Antonio, and for whole of that 2010 Cinderella conf. Finals runā€¦ as well as that great season when him and bledsoe were our two starting guards with over/under of 20some wins prediction that turned out to be 48 (I believe) win season. Sarver and McDonut tricked the man soon thereafter which led him to request a tradeā€¦

Dirk’s arms are going to fall off from all the open shots he’s going to get fed.
