“Attacking Rudy” in that series was forcing Rudy to help at the rim leaving open shots for Rudy’s man at the 3pt line. Only reason Rudy was forced to help each time was because the Jazz had no perimeter defenders and the Clippers were blowing by everyone. Dude was an assistant coach on Ty Lue’s team and is now a head coach and doesn’t even grasp the context of the game-plan they had that series. Honestly embarrassing.

So his experience coaching against Rudy in the playoffs was when the Clippers ruined our number 1 overall season. Wasn’t Rudy injured that year in that series or am I misremembering?

Is he wrong? The Mavs would look for the switch every time Kyrie or Luka had the ball. The DPOY should not be targeted on offense, EVER
