New — Steve Kerr is speaking at the Dem convention tonight

Today is day 1 of the DNC in Chicago. Chicago Bulls legend Steve Kerr has just been announced as one of the speakers on opening day. He was not on the original list of speakers published earlier today

  1. Well now Massachusetts is going to flip Republican in November

  2. aquamarine9

Celtics fans would remain seated for the speech in solidarity with Tatum, if any of them were Harris voters

  3. BigDJShaag

I’m excited for it, he’s very well spoken and passionate when he’s talked about gun violence and other political issues in the past

  4. NeedleGunMonkey

Steve Kerr’s reaction to mass shootings is pretty much how much normal people respond when kids and random civilians going about their day in a supermarket get gunned down.

It’s the weirdos who want to move on.

Steve Kerr: “We need less shooting in America”

    Steph Curry: wtf

  6. purplebuffalo55

Yall think he’s gonna shout out Nick?

  7. StoneColdAM

Kerr: “Like I did to Jayson Tatum in the Olympics, it’s time America benches Donald Trump for good!”

  8. Leopardbluff

If not MJ, then I’ll take Steph…If neither are available I’ll take Kamala Harris with my next pick.

  9. RansomGoddard

When asked about Trump’s assassination attempt Steve Kerr responded “I didn’t see it.”

I told myself I’d try to set up a “Ballers for Harris” zoom call (like the other ones that have already happened) if I heard back from either of the two potential participants I reached out to. So far…nothing.

If anybody knows Bill Bradley, tell him to check his damned email.

Steve Kerr experienced something truly horrifying right at the start of his college career.  Seeing him rebound from that tragedy to become a successful player and coach was inspiring.

I’m grateful to him that he’s helping to encourage Americans to go vote and try to put a stop to the party that attempted to end Democracy on January 6th.

Tatum about to vote Republican lmfao

  13. We really missed out on getting 29 of 32 NFL coaches at the RNC

  14. mecon320

It would be hilarious if Tim Walz gives him shit about not playing Tatum.

This sub and Reddit for that matter is overwhelmingly progressive and democratic so be careful with your words.

Only thing I’m going to say is that a lot of your favorite players…and coaches…are going to vote red purely for economic reasons.

  16. He was fine to speak out against trump but when it came to the CCP he was SHOOK

  17. Guest speaker :xStephen Curry:: Our community need less affordable housing.

Get ready for the worst basketball metaphors you’ve ever heard

  19. soyworld

nothing dumber than using celebs to win votes. why would I listen to a basketball coach on politics

  20. Slamminsalmon1991

Commie kerr won’t say his son’s name on stage

  21. MyGlassHalfFool

I don’t understand why NBA affiliated people should speak at all, it feels weird that we have a system where we are seeing celebrities speak more than the presidential candidate. It’s honestly insulting, between Meg thee Stallion, Quavo, Steve Kerr. Are we voting for a president of the united states or are we voting for who knows the most famous people

  22. Jackson_Simmons

r/nbacirclejerk about to have an absolute field day

  23. Intelligent_Top_328

Can’t let the Democrats get away with it.

  24. ZookeepHoudini

Apologizes to Tatum n Haliburton, throws Embid under a bus. Crip walks off stage. I feel confident in my predictions. s/
