Artest by far. Dude blew it and blew up our team.

  2. Cautious_Storm_513

Roy Hibbert. Went from DPOY to a shell of himself after the thing with his xwife then retired shortly after.

  3. Bob_Majerle

Jonathan Bender. He would’ve been like the original Terminator before T-1000 Kevin Durant came along

  4. ForCaste

Honestly I think it’s Dipo. That first season was fucking insane, the future looked limitless

  5. One_Ratio9521

Mathurin most potential is blind optimism.

  6. Past-Discount-52

Bender is only answer. Bird saw potential greatness in him.

  7. The 2004-05 team. All of them. That team wins a championship without the incident in Detroit.

  8. DosZappos

This one might be easiest on the chart. Pour one out for JB’s knees

  9. MrMarkSilver

Jonathan Bender, injuries killed his career.

  10. incredebell

The answer is Bender because of injuries but the runner-up is Jamaal Tinsley. If he wasn’t knucklehead, he might have been at least a borderline All-Star.

  11. Friar_Ferguson

To me this is Lance Stephenson. Takes more money to go to Charlotte instead of the multiyear deal Larry offered him. His career was never the same. He went from borderline all star to bouncing around the league. When he resurfaced with us the two other times and showed flashes, it made you wonder what his career would have been had he stayed.

If you go off guys who got injured and never reached their full potential, it is Clark Kellogg. People forget how great he was and he was just getting started.

Ron Artest. Not only did he waste his own potential on the Pacers, he destroyed the potential of the post-Reggie Pacers

  13. WinterStarlightZone

As others have mentioned, easily Jonathan Bender.

In 1999, Broke Michael Jordan’s McDonald’s All-American game record by 1 point, scoring 31 in the game along with 10 rebounds.

The amount of hype and anticipation was on another level. Size, athleticism and shooting ability were all there. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve had more anticipation and hope for another Pacers player.
