I think the differences castle is already a point guard. He’s just been forced to play the combo guard role. which is why he didn’t want to go to a team that already had a point guard

For most of the season, Castle's biggest plus could be to give CP3 a few minutes extra rest by being a better than average defender. Giving CP3 the confidence to play hard without worrying about getting exhausted means quality play time from him and Wemby, a.k.a. lots of buckets for Wemby and open looks for Vassell and Barnes if Wemby gets double teamed. Both CP3 and Wemby are great passers. The picture looks like lots of Spurs buckets. Will their opponents be able to match them?
If not, wouldn't that take the Spurs far into the playoffs? The only defense that might be able to slow the Spurs scoring would be to apply full court pressure on CP3 hoping to wear him out and disrupt the offense. Short of that the other teams are screwed.
