Yes, being the 3rd option on a championship team, having your name bannered and praised by NBA legends for one year, is better than being the best player on a team that will never be remembered for anything.

Hmm, I wonder, which is better, an All-Star, All-NBA, All-Defensive season, or none of that? šŸ¤”

2018 oladipo was a lot better than 2022 poole. The original question is a pick ’em, not a question contextualized on how one will be remembered based on the acclompishments of that particular year and praises they received, but who would you pick based on those years. I’d pick oladipo. Bc he was also more defensive, JP had to have GP2 makeup for his lack of defense.

Hey OP did you know Swaggy P has a ring?

***THAT’S*** the comp you’re looking for.

I like the comparison, honestly i might still take 22ā€™ poole if the rest of the roster stays the same. Because klay comes back from injury and for his mojo needed to be someone we relied on to carry us through the playoff games where curry is getting doubled all night. If you have 18ā€™ oladipo is doubt klay is getting back in the starting lineup and he definitely did not hang well defensively against the celtics wings so pushing him to SF isnt great either.

22ā€™ Poole would go nuclear and just extend leads in the 2nd half that i dont remember oladipo doing, even though his great perimeter defense and slashing would definitely be nicer to have for a whole season than pooleā€™s amazing 1 for every 4 stinkers.

I think if you put dipo on a long term deal and assume he never gets hurt, klay gets disrespected sooner and ends up leaving regardless

Better player for the seasons listed – Oladipo

Proven ability to work with stars – Poole

Important contribution to a serious playoff team –Ā Poole

Who’s season would I rather have – Poole

    More personal accolades – Oladipo

Season withĀ greater historical importance – Poole

This is garbage because thereā€™s no context to the question. Who am I choosing on what basis?

  7. legendkiller003

What exactly is the picture asking? Oladipo was the better player, but I would rather have been a major contributor to a championship.

Oladipo for sure. His defense was insane. Even after injuries I remember watching him in the 2021 playoffs still being an elite defender.

  9. Poole was what, the 5th-7th most important player to the Warriors in the 2022 Finals behind Steph, Draymond, Klay, Wiggins, and possibly Looney/GP2? Oladipo was one of the best 2-way guards in the league and the unquestioned best player on a team that took the Lebron James Cavs to seven games. People will forget Poole in time, even Warriors fans. Indiana fans will actually care about Oladipo as a real ‘what if.’

Trying to argue Poole over Oladipo is wild. A 3rd option with an all time great leading the team vs a 1st option who was great in every aspect of the game but didn’t have the same supporting cast. Poole had it easy. Oladipo was carrying

Oladipo. Not even close tbh. If you swap Oladipo with Poole, Warriors still win a championship but Pacers do significantly worse.

bro is getting cooked on his own post, and he deserves is too lmao

no, i dont know that answer but 2018 oladipo was crazyy!
