Cam Thomas is obviously going to the #1 scoring option this season and finding a secondary scorer is going to be an adventure…. Some people think Cam Johnson should be the secondary scorer given he has shown spurts of having an offensive bag especially in order to raise his trade value while others think it could be Dennis Schroder given his ability to score in different ways….
However one guy who should be looked at is Nic Claxton 😮……
Claxton is making $27 million this upcoming season and a goal for him this season is to experiment and expand his offensive game in attempting to make jump shots three point shots or even add a bunny shot as well…..
If Nic Claxton can show that growth offensively he could average 17+ points a game and potentially be some type of secondary or third option behind Thomas for this upcoming season…..
Trendon Watford showed spurts last season of being confident in getting to the rim and showing some bucket scoring skills. Also he's a two way player and could play some point guard and power forward this season. But as long as the vets are on this team it's going to be hard to see Watford get some real run. Plus some people have called Watford a poor man's Draymond Green but I need to see some more defensive work from Watford before I can even see that as a comparison…..😮
Jalen Wilson had an incredible summer earning the Summer League MVP 🔥 and deserves consistent minutes this upcoming season. Wilson has shown he can knock down threes and offensively score at the rim and has brought some defensive grit fighting for rebounds 🔥….
But for me I i hope Wilson can add some playmaking to his game because his assist numbers are a weak part of his game at the moment and it would be better for his game if he can improve upon it 👍….

Im old enough to remember Jordans leap his 3rd year @37pts and Kobes 5th year jump to 28pts .. Cam will be a top 5 scorer for the next 10 years. Incoming season will be 28+

I think same time last year you guys were saying Nets were short on point scorers & going to have to rely on their defence to bring most games within their reach of winning. Look where we ended up. This year we are worse. How can anyone realistically think Nets could make the playoffs. The best we could hope for is some positive outcomes like Thomas becoming more consistent, Clax being elite dominant and rookies coming up to NBA speed. Another win would be Ben getting back to his healthy best. If all these things ring true…OMG next year will be awesome.
