The masses and others don’t even realize what they saw. Lbj has been a pg for a long time and has played the MJ/Magic role but for the way he ran point, played D, like he said controlled tempo, it there are really no tourney performances or even a playoff series or more where someone was that masterful running point plus no one has ever done it at 6’8 250lbs with that type of athleticism still plus he’s still glassing dudes with size on point blank shots.
Yes, i don’t really want to include playoff runs but his masterclass performance at point was that impressive. I didn’t see all the games all the way through but he only held the ball too long a few times from what I saw.
If you told someone I want a pg to play like this, his performance is the template. Magic has never played D like Lbj. Even at this age while they rag on his D he still makes plays even some of the best defenders in their prime will never make and still plays more D than any of these great offensive weapons only type players that get praised as great “basketball” players insteas of grear offensive weapons which there’s a difference
Magic is nowhere near as good as Bron… that comparison needs to stop. MJ, Kobe, Bron are the greatest perimeter centric players ever and it’s not debatable.
