Its time to suck for a few years. We had a great run, ending with a chip. So its draft time for a while.
I personally didn’t want a full rebuild but will support the journey and direction 100%. there are no short cuts in life and in ball. Chip teams take years to build. Let’s watch them grow and support them through the ups and downs.
We need to do a rebuild and suck this season and maybe next season too

I think the push for African players which is dear to Ujuri's heart is not very successful anymore. We were lucky with OG and Siakim but we let them go as well as Ibaka who was already a proven player when we picked him up.
I mean we’re a rebuilding team that’s in year 1 of a 3 year rebuild plan according to Darko so 🤷♂️ The only people freaking out are the fans that don’t understands what’s involved in a rebuild. It involves losing games while developing your draft picks.
He's done an awful job since the championship. We are going to end up with another late lottery pick and it will continue that way until we do a full rebuild.
Ben, the Raptors are watching the Blue Jays trying to sign all these players from the garbage bin thinking they are going to find gem. Why don't they get serious about signing a true contributor . They keep signing redundant players , what to hell. Fernando, this kid from Detroit, Radon, I think ? If the team needs contributors , save your time and trade Brown , Obajgi or Boucher or Olynyk. By the way I think Carlson will beable to do whatever Olynyk can do if Darko works with him.

Relax raptors fan, he doing an great job. That report benefits whoever wants to steal Masai. The rebuild is 2 years too late but at least they recognized it. We are in the best possible position after deciding to rebuild. The right pieces are in position to do great things. Be patient , now it's time to give a chance to grow, next offseason, we assess. I can’t lie the targeting and Masai is very colour oriented hate what I say but who the fuck is bobby Webster what does he actually help with ?? He doesn’t seem to have a real erelationship with anyone who plays and in the end he started being more of a voice and then the pascal tease happened ?? Idk seems like they want Masai job but the only way to do that is to defame him. They have done this thru out franchise history butch mitchel even replacing our coach with nurse. It’s same as golden state. Teams want white coaches at the helm to continue that idea of fundamentals and intelligence being a European thing. It’s gross I’m over it so I’m calling it out. Exactly.. They overpaid IQ.. Everyone was shocked.. Everyone talked about giving him 25 million.. not 35 million. That is a huge cap space that allows us to get a starter for 20 million vs a reserve for 10 million.. Even if he plays at that level it is stupid as he was resticted free agent.

You look at the money and Quickley's contract is actually good for the Raptors. He doesn't get pay raises each year. So his contract right now is 23% of the salary cap, it's going to be only 16% of the cap in year 5. It's better to spend some of the money now when your team is full of rookies and rebuilding rather than spend it in 4-5 years where you would expect they would be competitive. Getting the same total value, a traditional contract would be paid $27.7 million this year with 8% raises. That's right where Quickley was projected to sign for.
Haters… please name a team with this much potential that is better than them and less than a year into a rebuild. Raptors have a bright future. Haters don’t understand basketball. Our franchise player made the all star game in his 3rd season and won ROTY his 1st season. They have the next Brunson like break out candidate in Quickly… not saying his as good. Then we have “negative asset” RJ who been awesome as a Raptors and team Canada player. Kelly provides leadership which this young team needs and he can play dirty if that’s needed. Raptors have brighter future than Pistons, Hornets, Bulls, Wizards, Nets, Hawks, Heat, Blazers, Jazz, Rockets, and maybe even Spurs who only have Wemby.
Masai overpays all the time. He is a very overrated exec.

If he signed an offer sheet, it would be for 1 less year, and we wouldn't be able to alter the terms the other team offers
