The New York Knicks are going into this NBA season ready to make a SHOCKING lineup trade in a move that we have never seen Tom Thibodeau do before. Chris Gallagher breaks down the importance of this move and discusses what this could mean, and why the Knicks SHOULD try out a small ball lineup this year.

  1. THE KNICKS HAD BETTER START LOOKING FOR A STARTING CENTER THE SAME WAY THEY HAD TO LOOK FOR A STARTING POINT GUARD AND YOU KNOW HOW LONG THAT TOOK

  2. Agreed, "small" ball frontcourt OG/Randle would play 4/5 offensively and 5/4 defensively … not many centers can play OG off the court. Knicks top-8 man lineup flexibility is terrific. Think scoring profiency of Brunson/DiVincenzo/Bridges/OG/Randle lineup … like Boston-level good.

I'd say a main concern generally defensively regardless of small-ball or not is teams attacking Randle (a-la Gobert) on pick'n'roll switches. Not ideal late game … so will Randle be closing games … and if not why would they pay him big $$.

  3. Are y'all on planet NOWAY PRODUCTS AT MY DOOR IT WONT WORK THIS IS THE NBA U MUST AND ALWAYS BETTER ROUGH POWER FORWARD SCORING CENTER AND A SEMI-ALL STAR CONTRIBUTING TEAM U HAVE THE POINT U NEEDED U HAVE THE Small FORWARD IN OG TIME TO Move RANDLE FOR A SCORING CENTER AND ROBINSON FOR A POWER FORWARD UNLESS YOU MOVE THE OTHER PLAYERS AND PICK. FOR A FORWARD

  4. Nothing but nonsense.

It's as if Thibs' WHOLE coaching career and philosophy doesn't matter to Kn Tw world just bc some Kn fans r against Sims bc they can't get over ihart's rejection.

One reason iHart left is bc he didn't want to play Mitch's 5 role in this offense. One reason the Knicks have resigned Sims rather the bozo "available centers" other teams don't want is bc Jericho has been trained to play like Mitch on offense and defense, neither an easy thing to do nor, by the looks of ihart's flight despite a $72 million offer, an apparently arduous ( even sacrificial- think Jericho and Mitch don't want plays run for them or passes back from their guards?) task anyone or everyone wants to do, either.

Seems unlike Kn fandom, Thibs' and Leon don't think just anyone or everyone can do it, too.
