My memories to this tune are connected to NBA 2k10 as a child which was the only real video game I played. Kinda cool to see how iconic this must have been to all you grandparents too, this video is dope

Sirius is undefeated as a sports theme. It’s hard not to get a little pumped up when you hear it.

    John Stockton getting nam flashbacks

Sirius is fucking amazing but I wonder how much of the goosebumps we get hearing it is cos of the bulls. I think if it was like the nets- it’d be good but lore wouldn’t have attached.

Does anyone know how long they used this? I swear I remember seeing this intro in person. But don’t recall ever actually seeing MJ as a kid.

You knew you lost as soon as you heard this song

  7. Sunday afternoon NBC doubleheaders were the best. The NBA on NBC them song followed by this and then a bulls/knicks game where it felt like a brawl was about to happen at any moment…a no stupid flagrants that affected the game. It was much watch television.

You were already down 20 by the time this song finished playing

I don’t understand how the DNC was in this stadium and every speaker wasn’t like “I wanna come out to the bulls song” I’d do that shit.

I knew that line up out the gate. That team was so fun to watch.

  11. The peak of Western civilization. Everything has been downhill since.

I prefer the understated voice of the Lakers. It’s the team that has the power, not some cheesy voice actor.

This and the NBA on NBC music comes on. Absolute Perfection!

  14. tv broadcasts would be better if we saw team intros instead of a round table of people blathering on about the game with no insight beyond the average fan.

I’d love to see this whole thing recreated using Unreal Engine. The whole thing, including the starting lineups.

26 years later still get chills man. It doesn’t get better than this

Gotta give some love to Ray Clay as well. Without his voice, and the tone and inflection he knew to put on every word, it just doesn’t hit the same.
