I'm taking LaMelo's talent over Cade and not looking back. Cade can't shoot. Reminds me of Scoot.
I watched a few of Detroit games and it seemed to me that the only game plan they had was to always drive to the basket. The other teams know this so they load the paint. Causing Detroit shot a bad shot, turn the ball over, or a rare times make a three. Monty didn't help the team find something that worked. Hopefully JB has a better offensive scheme.
Franz can't shoot. Cade cant lead like a Jason Kidd would. No player diving on floor for Cade.
The biggest swing still for me with Cade is the 3pt shot. If he can shoot it with high volume and accuracy he’s a superstar. If he is a guy who can only shoot middys and pass at a high level he’s a fringe all star. Paolo can get away with not having an elite 3 pt shot bc he gets to the rim whenever he wants. Cade has to be a guy who demands attention as a jump shooter

I was nodding my head until you mentioned NOT starting Ausar Thompson with Jalen Duren… Gotta stop being so infatuated with one side of the court that you forget about defense. Ausar and Duren is what gets the Pistons in transition by either creating turnovers or clearing the boards which improves Cade’s ability to exploit mismatches and lanes to the rim rather than coming down against set defenses every possession.
