Aaron Gordon (@Double0AG) is switching from No. 50 to No. 32 for the #Nuggets to honor his late brother and former pro player Drew Gordon, who passed away earlier in May. Drew used to wear No. 32. Number last worn by Jeff Green in 2023. #NBA

Nuggets roster page shows Gordon with number 32

Drew Gordon, a Power Forward for UCLA and New Mexico, spent a year with the Philadelphia 76ers but otherwise served the most of his pro career overseas. Drew died in a vehicle collision earlier this year at the age of 33.

I’ll always think of Aaron Gordon fondly. His time with the magic with Vuc and Fournier were low-key fun as hell.

Hearing all the random bullshit that was happening around him was saddening. I’m happy he got a ring at the least, well deserved.

    RIP Drew Gordon

I’m a nuggets fan and as much as I’m bummed that the team lost in the 2nd round and more glad that AG got a few months to grieve and process with his family. (Low key the nuggets were never gonna win after AG got this news, no way his head was gonna be in the game.)

Hopefully this upcoming season can provide some additional mental healing rather than just being a burden.

People forget that Gordon and MPJ were going through personal issues last year at the end of the season. It must have been a lot for them to try to focus on playing basketball. I hope they took care of themselves in the summer and are back ready for next year contention

Every time I see the name I see Drew Gooden and part of my 10 y/o Jayhawk heart cries.

That aside, this is a dope way to memorialize your bro.

Very sad. Just a PSA that Vanderhalls don’t have the safety features of automobiles.

    >For Gordon’s part, he marveled at the extreme swing in emotions that came from their last two home games. The Timberwolves had embarrassed them in Game 2 on May 6, with Gordon among the many Nuggets — players and coaches alike — who lost their composure in the most unflattering of ways. While he didn’t have the benefit of dinner with his teammates to unwind in those three days between Game 2 and Game 3, he decided to go on a bit of a selfless shopping spree as a way to turn the mental tide.

    >“I bought some three-wheel cars for my family,” Gordon told The Athletic. “A little retail therapy. They’re called Vanderhalls. They’re really dope. I went in looking to buy just one. But generosity, and just having a little bit of fun, helped.”

    >PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — One person died in a two-vehicle crash involving athree-wheeled autocycle in Clackamas County on Thursday.

    >Deputies said they were dispatched to the crash involving a Vanderhall Carme and aGMC Sierra pickup around 1:00 p.m. yesterday.

    >According to officials, the driver of theVanderhall,Drew E. Gordon, 33, died at the scene. The preliminary investigation indicates that the Vanderhall crossed over the center line and collided with the GMC.

  7. Drew was a beast at UNM and was the leader of the best team the school has probably ever had. Barely lost to a Louisville team that went on to the Final 4. RIP
