This is going to sound like recency bias but honestly Malcolm Brogdon. Hated his game. I thought I read rumors of him being kind of a coach killer behind the scenes. Just don’t care for the dude.

  2. Andrew Bynum. I was so disappointed when he came to the Pacers. Luckily, it was short lived.

  3. jedwardson89

Oladipo 1000% for the chicken shit way in which he left…. “Can I come play with y’all”

  4. MavaleJcGee

I loved it when we signed Monta and he had a decent season before he completely fell off. My least favorite is Evan Turner, we got rid of Danny Granger to make space for him and he took minutes away from Lance. We were so good that season before the all star break and then fell apart when he joined the team.

  5. Easily Dipo. Telling players of another team you want to go play with them while wearing a Pacers uniform on the court is the ultimate disrespect to the franchise and your teammates.

  6. Mike Dunleavy Jr. I didn’t hate him too much while he was on the team but after I started really, really disliking him.

He’s a dirty player who would do a ton of cheap shots.

It’s not fair to him, but probably Andrew Bynum because online rumor has it that trade (losing Granger) wrecked the chemistry of that team, plus I wanted Granger to end his career here.

A few other disappointments–and always for combined results and chemistry issues, these are all talented guys–Evan Turner, Mike Dunleavy, Troy Murphy, Malcolm Brogdon.

There were MANY years I just was so disappointed in our point guard play–basically from the end of Tinsley’s rookie year until we got Halliburton. Not to say all those point guards in between were awful, just had no confidence they could run the offense smoothly and consistently. George Hill is an exception, I now realize. And now we’ve just got an embarassment of riches at the point! I love it!

    (edit: a word)

  8. LooseMoose13

    Malcolm Brogdon

Dude came in thinking he was hot shit and kickstarted a what, 3 year stretch of what IMO was the most unexciting brand of Indiana basketball I’ve seen in my (admittedly short) time watching

  9. IronRevenge131

Evan Turner, and it wasn’t even really his fault but dog. He didn’t even return next season. How do you get rid of Granger for that.

  10. Man, it has to be Nate Bjorkgren. Coaches were Pacers as well, right? I hated him from the introduction press conference all the way to his miserable demise as a head coach.

  11. Tooswingingballs

Evan Turner. We win the championship if we keep Granger. That trade killed the team chemistry.

  12. Residual_Venom

Ron Artest. He blew Reggie’s last chance at a title.

  13. My opinion: Evan Turner. Not his fault really, but trading Granger for him that season completely changed the vibe of the team. When he was with us he was not fun to watch and it just made me think, “goddammit, why trade Granger why?!”

  14. Accomplished-Dog2785

Goga Bitadze sparked copious amounts of rage in me every time he touched a basketball

  15. CoolAssKoalaBear

    Mike Dunleavy

Edit forgot my why: I just don’t like him

  16. Petit_Coeur_

Malcolm Brogdon or Rodney Stuckey. I know Dipo did us dirty af but I give him a pass after that amazing 2017-2018 season

  17. Who was the dude with a lions mane of dreads we signed from the knicks back in 2012/2013? I believe dude got stabbed or shot outside a club.
Another random pacer I just remembered was some big Russian dude we played at center during the 2010/2011 era only thing i really remember is him getting in a fight or altercation outside a club In Miami

  18. IAmARobot947

Peja Stojaković- He did not try to win for us at all

  19. Travis Best and Malcolm Brogdon both get high marks because they loved to dribble the ball until there were 3 seconds on the shot clock before trying to make a play.

But I have to go with Tyreke Evans. I had such high hopes for him but dude couldn’t hit a layup to save his life then got suspended for weed. Made me look like a damn fool.

  20. DeltaWing12

Surprised no one has said Tyreke Evans yet. The amount of missed fast break layups he had, even blocking his own finger roll layup with his fingers, was the most infuriating thing. We found out later he was struggling off the court with drug addiction, so I feel kind of bad looking back, but in the moment he was easily my least favorite Pacer.

  21. myburneraccount151

Gotta be the Artest formerly known as Ron

  22. EvidenceHuge4384

Pooh Richardson. I hated that we traded Chuck Person and Michael Williams. I cried so hard when that traded happened. I was a kid. I didn’t think we got back good pieces in return and I like Sam Mitchell. The trade didn’t make us better.

  23. My wife and I visited the Monument in Vincennes Indiana (southern IN)2 summers ago(I’d say we were 2+ years removed from Vic).. my excellent wife is wearing a pacers t-shirt and we visit a little war museum and the lady taking our tickets was giving us shit because she hates the pacers for letting Oladipo go. We kinda just gave her a sorry bout that look and went ahead with our visit. Big time IU country and despite us city-slickers knowing the truth about him and the way it went down, the dude is a saint in 40% of the state.

  24. Eastern-Cucumber-376

Evan Turner. I don’t know why, but I never liked the guy. Then I saw his play and play style and disliked him even more.

  25. BullCityJ

Jamaal Tinsley. Dude was a locker room cancer at the worst possible time for the Pacers to have a loose cannon.

  26. Psyren1317

Dipo (pains me to say it as an IU alum, but the way he left was awful).

    Others:

    – Nate Bjorkgren (I feel ill when I think of him)
    – Brogdon (I mean it when I say there may not be a player’s game I hate more than his).

  27. Argenfarce

Oladipo had the table set for him. He was literally the chosen one to lead the franchise and thought Indiana was beneath him.

  28. Ellis didn’t really do anything wrong. He was just washed when we got him.

  29. Maximum-Class5465

Easily Andrew Bynum for representing the sharp decline, even if not actually his fault

  30. coreyp0123

TJ Leaf. Didn’t try to improve his game at all. Didn’t accept any G-League assignments. Didn’t seem like anyone on the team liked him. He was picked WAY too high in the draft. He is legit one of the worst pacers of all time.

  31. Mobile-Breadfruit841

Chris Duarte. First round pick who whenever I watched him just would do an all around awful job on the court

  32. reggiemillerpacers

    George Hill.

Overrated a f. Casuals like him bc he went to college in Indy?

He’s so soft and provides nothing to the game. I’ll never forget when george hill was starting and we were playing Memphis for our last game of the year.

If we win, we made the playoffs. If not, yeah.

Memphis had their starting and backup pg out. They played a 3rd string pg that never played in the league again.

That 3rd string pg kicked George hills ass and we proceeded to lose that game.

The most important game of the year and he got outplayed all night. Dude is overrated a f.

  33. AntiqueWay7550

My hottest Pacer take. George Hill.

We traded a future hall of fame player (I get it, our front office didn’t pick Kawhi) but there was a lot of talent left in that draft. Jimmy Butler, Kawhi, Vucevic, Tobias Harris, Reggie Jackson, etc were all on the board. I understand teams want to draft based on their needs but we literally had Darren Collison on our roster already. Eventually, our front office needs to realize our market can’t draft off needs, we need the player with most potential available. The fact that we traded Kawhi for George Hill & Danny Granger for Evan Turner 1.5 years later is a permanent scar.

I genuinely believe Hill is one of the reasons that team wasn’t capable of winning a championship & you could fill his presence with almost any bench level point guard. If we keep our pick & let Darren collison run the point, I believe we win a championship.
