Are you optimistic on Josh Giddey?

While I’m going to miss Alex Caruso in a Bulls uniform, I’m also excited to see what Josh Giddey is going to bring to Chicago. With what I saw from the Olympics, and just a fresh start and opportunity, it seems like he’ll be allowed to thrive and really run the offense. What do you think is his ceiling in Chicago?

On a side note, I started collecting some Josh Giddey rookie cards! I’ll pick up some cards of his in a Bulls uniform too. Before this, I had a big Patrick Williams and Zach LaVine collection, with some sides of other Bulls rookies in the last couple of years.

  1. Being in OKC I really only knew about his legal trouble, but he showed up in the playoffs and it looks like the tough high IQ guard that the bulls been missing for 3 years.

Above average scoring point guard. Wont take us to the promiseland but im optimistic on his production. Hopefully he gels with Coby and Ayo.

Im really excited to see Matas’ ceiling.

I’m honestly not optimistic, I just don’t see his shooting/scoring improving enough for him to leverage his passing ability to its fullest extent. Also worried we’re gonna give him a huge contract because AKME went after him specifically and that contract will hamper the team going forward.

I’m willing to be wrong and I’m glad we seem to be entering a rebuild but I don’t see Josh Giddey starting for the next good Bulls team

The autograph in the middle is from Panini’s set of Optic. It’s a Rated Rookie autograph that is on-card and is the red prizm! The red prizm ties in well with the Chicago Bulls colors eh.

I had to check what subreddit this was. I haven’t felt optimism as a Bulls fan since D. Rose. I will say that watching Giddey during the Olympics gave me some semblance of hope they we wouldn’t be the dumpster fire that the front office is usually OK with putting out.

Those who aren’t optimistic on this guy are just salty fucks about every move the bulls make. No reason not to be excited about this young core. I think you’re doing to see all star talk about Giddey and White in the next couple of seasons

I am very interested to see if his shooting in the Olympics was a hot streak or can be sustained. It was a fairly small sample size at a shorter distance so I’m hedging a bit but there’s reason for hope. Him getting pushed down the Thunders depth chart at times is a little concerning but each player getting time over him was playing better than he was from what I saw. His finishing at the rim is pretty all over the place. Sometimes he looks very fluid a smooth and at other times it looks awkward and forced. I am most looking forward to watching him run the offense. I’ve been begging for a pass first ball handler since…oh I think maybe around January 20th, 2022.

  8. It’s Chicago sport, I stopped being optimistic decades ago.

I’m not optimistic about anything with this team until we get a coaching and FO change. Players can only acheive so much within a system and from my years of watching ball, players will always perform towards their floor/average without a high quality staff in place. This is why we see so many player improve after leaving the Bulls. Every year I expect our players to offer much of the same as we’ve seen before, then just let it be a pleasant surprise if they manage to improve.

He hasn’t really shown me much as of yet but I’m withholding judgement. 🤔

No. Why do y’all keep buying the narrative that “we need a true point general.” Name one team that won a ship in the last 20 years with a pg that couldn’t shoot the 3 ball. I’d rather continue to watch Ayo develop than Josh Diddy.

  12. I’m not or have no real expectations really. I’m sort of hoping to get a shot at Cooper Flagg, but being a lifelong Bulls fan I expect them to be better than a lottery pick and not good enough for the play-in so we can all maintain the usual level of misery.
