Another guy who would have fit better in today’s NBA.

I’ll never forget the tear he went on in December of 2012, with Carmelo out due to injury, he stepped up big time and even hit two different game winning buzzer beaters.

Wow 72-31 at the half.
Those cavs were a buzzsaw until they had to play against 5 all stars
GoatLow8980
His career had a lot of phases lol
glizzyshooter12
His best high light is 360 alley oop against the t-wolves
YouArentOwedAnything

If you didn’t know who J.R was , but were showed this highlight reel, I think it’d be fair to assume he’s the Goat
Sylphid_FC
Left out one of the best dunks + calls combo of all time. His buzzer beater dunk vs the Spurs
“We just saw a man fly!!”

KaiserKaiba

Nuggets JR looked like a lot of fun lol

As a spurs fan I’m shocked to not see a certain dunk on Gary Neal. I remember staying up late to watch that game, it was crazy from start to finish.

JR Smith is to Vince Carter what Vince Carter is to Michael Jordan

You could convince a non-fan that he was the greatest of all time with this tape.
BiKEhandlebars
That finish about half way through on the 2v1 fast break is one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen
hyperlip
that alley oop 360 layup is straight one of the most difficult things ive ever seen

Where’s “we just watched a man fly” on here? Or the Knicks 360 windmill?
dont_shoot_jr
I like it when he drives and doesn’t just shoot
willkillfortacos
During his time in Cleveland specifically JR would make highly contested shots at a higher clip than his wide open ones. I remember reading articles w/ his advanced analytics in the Plain Dealer. His wide open 3 percentage was significantly worse than absolutely smothered shots. He would just nail crazy shit falling out of bounds or double behind the back step back nonsense. It was just nuts.

I watched JR in the McDonalds all America game and I swore he had a Kobe like bag.

How the fuck do you miss the “you just saw a man fly!!”? Dunk when he was on the nuggets
cmcg18
His dunk against the spurs when he was on the nuggets is easily my favorite in game dunk ever
bkguyworksinnyc
Is JR the best irrational confidence guy of all time? Easily one of my favorite players during his Denver and New York stints.
jjkiller26
Such a good role player for a long time too
TheRealMoofoo
He’s such a weird player. There are times when you look at him and feel like, “How are you not All-NBA?” but then he does some complete dipshit stuff two minutes later. So much talent.
