Andrea Bargnani is the Raptor with most wasted potential! T-Ross and T-Mac were the next ones! Now, who’s our best passer?
The comment with most upvotes wins, any player from Raptors history can be selected and a player can win more than one category (please don't take this as serious, it is just a chance to have an healthy discussion ☺️)
Though Calderon is tough too though. During the Bosh years Calderon was a top 5 passer in the league while being on mostly not good teams. Imagine if he had actual guys on the team besides mainly just Bosh, he could’ve been averaging a double double all season (he averaged 8.9 a game a few times, in seasons the team won 22 to 33 games).
Lowry is a good passer too, but he also had teams that literally won more than double the amount of games as some of the teams Calderon played on.

Calderon – if memory serves, he was averaging like 10 pts 10 assts for a long time, he was the only guy keeping the offense flowing on those teams. He was a classic “pass first” PG
Lowry was a good passer for us but he was way more important as a shooter/scorer
He was a great game manager and a great point guard during some really dark years of being a Raptors fan.

Calderon, passer first, scorer second. Can’t say the same for Lowry.

Jose Calderon

Calderon.

Jose overall, BUT Damon Stoudemire holds the #1 and #3 single season assist records for the Raptors from his 2 full seasons there, which is super impressive considering those were his first 2 years in the league.
PunkerToxic
Damon Stoudemire easy

Bargnani is incorrect. In the best case scenerio, what could he have been? Channing Frye? He didn’t have the skill to become Dirk.
Icy-Lime-9760
Kyle Lowry
centerofstar
Scottie will eventually join in this category soon enough

Jose.

Oak was always good for one behind the back pass at the top of the key every game. That’s good enough for me

Jeez, put names in there too already!

With the way this list is going ,the greatest raptor of all time won’t even make it

Jose Calderon or Damon. I give the slight edge to Jose.

If your question is “who is the best passer to ever play for the Raptors?” There correct answer is Mark Jackson
But I would vote Jose over Lowry strictly for passing.
Swamp7hing
Lowry’s gotta take it here
codespyder
Jose made passing look like an art form. One of the most intelligent players I’ve ever seen.
Friendly-Target8815
Calderon
FlavourDavid
It’s Lowry
During his all star years, he was legit one of the best playmakers in the league. One of the better full court passers, back door lobs out of nowhere, those perfect bounce passes he would give JV and Ibaka, nothing too too flashy but Lowrys one of my favourite passers ever let alone on the raptors.

Marc Gasol
Jose has more assists because he’s a point guard.
Marc’s passing was actually insane.

Jose Calderon

I’m gonna say Calderon, as much as part of me sees Stoudemire and Gasol as being way close to the honors as well.

I’d probably say Lowry.

Edit: I looked it up, he averaged 10-12 ppg and 8-9 assists per game 4/5 seasons from 2008-2012 [source](https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/caldejo01.html)
Marc Gasol
This one has to go to Jose Calderon.
