The big 3 kyrie Luka n klay
Klay first ballot hof no one can argue that.
Well, if you look at the numbers, Thompson shot about 50 less 3s than Luka at about .5% higher percentage. So basically you're taking Luka's outside shooting and doubling it (and slightly better) plus Kyrie's regular offense. I'd say that's a pretty significant upgrade. He can still play defense, he's just not a stopper. But he'll be bringing 10-15ppg extra scoring over Jones, so the other team is going to have to score another 15ppg against the Mavs to beat them. You're also going to have the occasional game where all 3 of them are hitting and they'll be scoring 140 level (even against good defenses). It's going to be a fun year.

Don't bite on that defensive rating crap. Teams hide their defensive liabilities and it makes them look better. Everyone raves about Shai's defense, but OKC hides the fuck out of him. He's probably the 4th best defender on their team and you hear crazy takes like claiming he's top 10 in the league. Luka does some things very good on defense (playing the passing lanes, challenging 3pt shots, using his size to make it difficult to get around him, etc…. But just like that crap about him getting blown by constantly is overblown, claiming his rating makes him a really good defender is equally overblown. He's a smart defender that occasionally loses his man completely while he's trying for the steal or trap. He has trouble with quick players going around him, and sometimes he just phones it in because he's trying to save energy for the offensive end. Kyrie, Washington, Grimes, Marshall, Lively, and Gafford are all better defenders, but several of them have their own weaknesses. That's the point of a team defensive strategy. You don't allow players to get exposed by leaving them in a vulnerable position and your numbers look good (just like how they held Boston to 20ppg below their season average in the finals).
I think that more competitive with a Klay Thompson is more accurate.
Kyrie didn’t have stage fright. Luka wasn’t great either. Y’all just love to give Luka the “injury” excuse.
the only thing that worries me about this klay replacing djj's role is if klay shooting is gon be as good as djj'defense, will his defense gon be as bad as djj's shooting that teams like celtics or okc could make a hole out of it?
yes ,we have naji and grimes for defense but ppl gotta remember that djj was so effective being a poa defender because he was a closer and a starter for us. naji and grimes will most likely have to come off the bench and will only able to guard opposing teams best players for a few min or in their next set of rotation. this is gon be a problem esp if you need defense in the last min of a close game. where Jkidd has to make a decision whether he has to take out either kyrie or klay and get replaced by naji or grimes to play defense, which is I think gon be an issue for klay or kyrie getting benched in a close game.
but one thing is for sure we got better pieces
