LFG!! Hard working blue collar type player. Perfect fit

  2. Sko_Neezy

Luxury tax numbers crunch is gonna get very real in 2 years

  3. yummytenderloin

About 25 other teams wanted him. That’s awesome for the pacers

BOOM!! Just made my day! TJ is the perfect irritant to have on your team. Drives the other team crazy, juices our boys up with his intensity, and can jump start the 2nd unit. LFG!!!

Assuming Myles reaches an agreement next offseason, the Pacers will be a taxpayer. Love it.

Seeing a lot more role players locking in mid-level money early as opposed to testing free agency now that teams are saving their MLEs for trades.

TJ could definitely be paid a little more if it wasn’t for the new CBA.

  6. We have the best PG group in the league. TJ is the quintessential backup PG.

He was literally the 3rd or 4th best player on the team at times last year… INCLUDING THE PLAYOFFS. This dude handled getting benched with aggression on the court and put up a career year. His benching lasted all of a couple games because we NEEDED him to win games. What a perfect compliment to Tyrese too, having a guy who can come in and the pace doesn’t drop off, in fact the pace only ramps up sometimes when he comes in.

Fan favorite for a reason. What more can you say. TJ is a legend and should be in 6th man of the year convos (at least top ~5)

Will this contract be worth it in 4 years when he is 36 years old? Probably not. Am I still happy that we have this dude locked up for the next 4 years? Hell yeah

  8. Hell yah I’m going to celebrate by getting the #9 sandwich at Joes Butcher in Carmel

  9. basketballrene

Love the way this dude plays ball. Worth it and he’s earned it

I know it’s crazy to say this, but if Haliburton never played another game for the Pacers we still have a great and deep team. I hope he keeps playing and stays healthy though!!!

  11. I absolutely love this! Bennedict Mathurin needs to have a big season if he is going to stick around, as Ty, Drew, + TJ are locked in.

Not including a new Turner contract they’ll be about 15M below the tax in ’25-’26 if you factor in their ’25 1st round pick (somewhere around #20?) and fill out the other roster spots with minimums. So if ownership cheaps out that means Turner is gone or someone else gets traded.

Colts and Pacers stay investing in their guys 🤷‍♂️

  14. I’m a sixers fan and there’s goes my irrational delusion that we would bring him back one day

  15. International_Link35

We just keep stacking tradable contracts on good players. When the consolidation comes, it’s going to be an absolute beast.

  16. WillTwerk4Clout

Congrats to him. He has earned it and is a valuable piece for sure.

  17. BubaTflubas

So either Myles is walking, which was always possible as he will be unrestricted, the Pacers will be above the tax and possibly into the first apron, or we will be trading away a mid sized to large contract in a consolidation move.

However it happens we are headed into exciting and new developments for the team.

Imagine TJ McConnell being on another team and having to play against him. I can’t think of a more frustrating player to break down your defense.

  19. MindofShadow

This has to be so we have more tradeable contracts otherwise it is lunacy to pay 3 point guards like thsi

  20. ItsDrManhattan

Holy shit lol i genuinely expected him to get a fat bag somewhere else this is huge for us
