He is likely to make 40%, but on how many attempts/gm?

  2. DefiniteSauce12

I can definitely see this pissing klay off lmao

  3. ThingsAreAfoot

I don’t know what’s going on with the saturation on Cuban’s feed but that motherfucker looks like an actual vampire.

  4. Wavepops

klay doesnt wanna play like that lol. i think his movement shooting while be a great way to get some ball movement in that luka will trust in

  5. dissphemism

getting a prolific movement shooter that can bend coverages to relieve pressure off your stars then reducing him into purely a spot-up role 💀

I think Klay will be better. Even though Klay isn’t as good as before he still got the second most attention from teams on defense. He will get much better shots since teams have to defend Kyrie and Luka instead

Klay and Luka on the wings defensively will be a thing of beauty.

All I know is Klay is going to have a career game against the warriors

Never underestimate r/NBA’s ability to act like they know better than someone who is directly associated with a team/player

I love Klay but his problem right now isn’t on the offensive end – Cuban’s right, he’s still an elite shooter, but his defense is just gone.

All i know is, once that ball touches Klay’s hands. It will be the end of the possession. That ball WILL be shot.

    That’s just misusing him.

He is the greatest off screen shooter ever, and they plan to spot him up?

“Standing in the corner” is what Porzingis did in Dallas and it rubbed him the wrong way and he wasn’t as effective as he was in NY, Washington and Boston. Sometimes these situations bother players who feel like they can do more.

Klay has always struck me as a sensitive guy (I guess he got his feelings hurt, holding up 4 fingers, etc) so I guess it really depends how he transitions and accepts his new role.

The on the court stuff, yeah maybe it will work better and have him be more efficient. Will he enjoy that role and be 100% focused and giving effort, while Kyrie doesn’t revert to his toxic self because fans are giving him the Westbrook treatment after his awful finals performance and they just “don’t understand him” that’s been a problem on other teams? I think that’s a big part of Dallas’ success people might not consider beyond the box scores.

The whole thing looks great on paper but if they ask Klay to just stand in the corner and watch Luka get his triple doubles, I could see it going either way.

  14. I seriously thought he was going to say because he doesn’t have to take a boat to the games

Feels like people learned the wrong lessons with Golden State’s success. The point of their motion-based offense and the triangle before it is to keep players involved in the flow of the game.

Real basketball is not like 2K, if you just have a guy go stand in the corner on offense he’s going to lose focus on the game.

I dont think Klay wants to do that tbh. If you hear a lot of players talk, thats kind of a diss to say “stand in the corner and shoot’ especially if youre a star type player. They want to be active and have the ball – I mean klay just did an interview talking about how he can handle the ball but didnt need to do that in GS, kinda defending himself there.

Worst case, Klay needs to be MPJ on a shooting slump.

Klay isn’t a playmaker. He’s a scorer. We’re talking about the guy who scored 60 with 11 dribbles(9?). I think he’ll flourish with guys like Ky and Luka. He had too much on his plate these last couple of years that hurt his game. He’ll be dangerous this year.

0/10 in an elimination game with 0 defense is crazy

  20. TeachShoddy9474

Honestly think Dallas is going to be much better this year with Klay

I know he struggled in some big games recently but as a third option I think he is going to thrive

  21. Pranker00111

Dude that motion 3 is what I want from Klay honestly

Also, it’s weird to see Cuban talk with Brunson after the incident of the signing Brunson.

  22. jumpijehosaphat

imagine luka, ky, pj, and klay on the floor at the same time.  talk about raining 3s

  23. PG13IsOverrated

I know what he’s trying to say and agree but I can picture Klay being offended by this statement lol

  24. goknicks23

It’s the other side of the floor that is way more problematic.

  25. Ultimately, having Klay dribble and create less is a great thing for the team. Even if he doesn’t get as many looks by ‘standing still’, he’d be an insane decoy. We’re also talking about Luka PnR offense here. Luka PnRs basically result in a lob, an easy 10 footer (for Luka), or an open 3 (or attacking that closeout). For the most part, the guy guarding Klay will have to move decide to help on a drive or lob threat while Klay can just chill there.

  26. AffectionateOne2024

Klay having a bad playoffs really made it sound like he had a terrible season.

Look at the stats, he’s been playing well for a few years including 22 when they won it all. His stats are smaller by the smallest of margins, but you’d think based on the media input that he was a 9ppg scorer shooting 35%

the warriors were absolutely stupid to let him go and not lock him up for the end of his career. the fact they kept dramond’s dumb ass over poole AND thompson is absurd. It’s going to be what we’ll see as the downfall of the warriors

  27. IcyCorgi9

I’m not sure if this is a positive thing. Is Klay interested in just sitting in the corner with a defender glued on him? A big reason he’s no longer with the Warriors is that he refused to take a lesser role on offense.
