How long will Nikola Jokic play in the NBA?
Over the weekend, Nikola Jokic was joined by several other high-profile NBA players to play in a celebrity game to honor the retiring Goran Dragic. It made us wonder how long we think Jokic will play in the NBA. Adam Maeres & Matt Moore share their opinions about it and discuss the various reasons he may play longer or shorter than we think.

Nikola Jokić will play in NBA until the end of 2027/28 season… tbh I would put my money on it. And nope…Nikola is not like other players.

I dont really understand how people arent weighing the possibility of losing AG if they had resigned KCP. Like, KCP was really good and important, but he's much more replaceable than AG is, and AG's contract expires soon.
totally different culture…..totally different approach to his homeland and family….and so many other details make a HUGE difference and above all ……he is HIS OWN MAN👨👩👧+⛪🐴+🍺+……….djokovic is his half "brother"
I dont see why people keep talking about players like Jokic/Luka retiring early, they both like competing.
Secondly, just the sheer money alone they are making is hard to turn down.
Charles Barkley back in his day was saying how his 1mil a year contract at the time felt like big money.
Back then that wasn't much more than what a high end lawyer/doctor might make.
Now you have guys making 45mil+ a year? Not including endorsements and everything else? Yea, just not comparable.
Combine that with medicine and sports science advancements, you will see more and more guys playing until they are 40.
Best option for Nuggets is Aleksa Avramovic if its possible to take from CSKA, eventualy Vasilije Micic. Best is both Aleksa and Vasilije! But if not the second best option if it's even possible is to bring back KCP who just proved he's worth more money regardless of this or that new NBA rule.

Jokic will play again without all-star teammate let alone super star. Nuggets are so passive they almost deserve all the worse. They didn't even explore sign and trade with PG, PG signing max with LAC then trade with Nuggets for MPJ and maybe some protected pick. Everyone would agree on that trade, PG first, he would rather play with Joker then Embiid bc of his injury prone playoffs…but hey, MPJ is buddy with one of the owners so, they didn't even explored that option. MPJ seems like a nice guy but he's 15 points per game in playoffs player on a max contract. Nuggets will not win chip this year, that's almost for sure.
Denver is cooked ..Its not just that DN are getting worse but that West is getting way better…

Nugget's roster building since winning the chip has been down right atrocious. Losing KCP, Bruce Brown, Jeff Green and only adding the ghost of Russell Westbrook in the last 2 years (who teams are waving left and right because he's a net negative on the court at this age).
They've absolutely let Jokic down. There's absolutely no way you can spin that positively. I'm sick of these big social media reporters pretending Nuggets are making good business in the market. With each passing season the championship window is closing and the Nuggets roster is getting worse.

There is a sport principle here in Serbia (and I would assume in other parts of the world) regarding the whole 3rd place celebration, etc, and it's celebrated because you play to WIN for Gold and Bronze, the silver medal and 4th place are losers of the duels. In fact, being in the 4th place is probably the worst feeling ever.

If he plays for Denver, I'd imagine not much longer. They have spending principals that will make it nearly impossible for him to have an easy ride to his greatness.

if braun can replace kcp successfully then i think this years team is better then last years the depth is defff better
Validating this as a talking point is not helpful. It's unknowable and even having the conversation puts Jokic in a very awkward position. It can't be stopped but I would hope that his "homers" would have a little more respect for him.
Nuggets have no chance next season. Second round exit is their ceiling.

Joker wants defend title feeling I'm 101% sure, so they must win title next season !! if he realizes that it will be difficult, it is quite possible that he will give up the NBA, so he has to win title in the next two seasons i guess!!!

Nikola should leave Denver to a more ambitious team, it's blatantly obvious the ownership does not deserve a generational player like that.
