My thoughts who cares who is the the best player is today?? It should be in the next couple drafts.. it is uncomfortable to bottom out get cheaper and younger but that should be the goal.. blazers fans should like the stock markets be ahead of the curve and sell on grant ant ayton.. who cares if young guys not ready that’s the point speed up this rebuild get cheaper and younger

Lakers receive – Jerami Grant
Magic receive – Anfernee Simons, '25 second (top 55 LAL)
Blazers receive – Cole Anthony, Anthony Black, D'lo Russell, Rui Hachimura, '29 first (top 3 LAL), '25 first (top 5 DEN), '26 first (Magic)
I would take that deal in a heartbeat.
Ayton is the best player on the team. There were plenty of games where Ayton looked like the only NBA player on the court and that's with both Ant and Grant on the court. Ayton can also win big games. He has done it in the past with Phoenix. The team is so much more competitive when Ayton plays.
Ayton is the best player on the team when Ayton's playing his best hes a top 3 center in the league. You cant say that about any other player on the team.
I admit that the best player currently is Ayton, if and when he is putting in the effort to do it. That is why I just can’t get behind him. Might play like a stud one game and be a complete non-factor the next when you need him. Air mattress my foot…
The NBA doesn't incentivize tanking. Detriot had the worst schedule 2 seasons in a row and ended up with the 5th pick in back to back drafts. They also added the playin to give more teams a chance to get to the playoffs. This team needs a better front office and better development coaching. It doesn't matter who you draft if you don't develop and put your young players in the best situations to get better. Just look around the league the best players aren't top 5 picks.

Grant is best player in my opinion. 2-way player at the wing position. His defense is respectable when the team isn't tanking. Simons is close 2nd best player. Hopefully Blazers can capture the Flagg in June. I think Blazers will need to tank for 2 more seasons…perhaps more if they are unlucky in the lottery and/orsome of their picks are busts.
Ayton to me is a franchise core player and emerged as our best player…Sharpe should become that guy if he pans out. Grant is a close tie with Ayton…both are two way players with flaws but talent to make up for it. Ant is simply one of the worst defenders in the game. Scoot is a project. Deni has to earn that title as a Blazer…hopefully he's a core starter that is an impact player. I think Ayton moves the needle…he's been to the dance in the playoffs
If they were really trying to win and not developing young dudes, then it would be easier to sort out the pecking order. If Grant was a better rebounder and passer, it would be an easy choice, but he isn't. Simons if not double-teamed because nobody else can shoot if the vets aren't out there would look a lot better. Ayton if he can get the ball in good positions and has options would look a lot better. So the question is sort of like asking what is the fastest car when you can't press the gas pedal to the floor.

I believe Toumani belongs on the list of potentially best player on the team. Right now I'd say it's clearly DA, and hopefully Deni comes out as the superior player, though I want DA to play with consistent confidence and aggression every night, so he can dominate and finally silence all his haters. He has the talent, skills and abilities to do that, we just need him to fix his mental state and mentality overall going game to game, play to play. I'd definitely slap Toumani over Scoot as well. We got a free standing DQ here in Aloha, complete with drive through!

Deni is definitely the best player
Ant is the best player because that’s who opposing coaches gameplan for. I can see him take a jump to 25 ppg this season. A thumb injury/surgery first game will throw off the entire season. Having had the same surgery it takes a full year to get your grip strength back
Ayton can't play good enough defense to get paid as much as he does as a center in the NBA.
He should be a lot better than he is coming out of the draft number one overall.
Get rid of him. And his poopy attitude when stuff doesn't go his way. And is up and down play throughout the season. It's in nurkic 2.0. sorry to say
And you don't end the tank just because we're developing. The people on the 25 draft are insane. You don't just pass up on them and f up the next 5 years

mike i went to franklin and graduated in 21. freshman and sophomore year it was open and it just was the spot for everyone rest in peace. they just approved to built a two story DQ in the lot though 🙏
