Giddey was the starting PG on a team that finished near the top in the West! Not sure why people think he won't elevate this team. The team is deeper than they have been over the last couple of years. Giddey isn't far off from being an average 3pt shooter and he has gotten better every year he's been in the league. So he'll be better next year than he was this year. Billy D already traveled to LA to visit Zach and they talked out their differences. He will come back motivated to get that trade and which will also help elevate us. That will also elevate the return we get for him. I would be more shocked if they didn't play well.
Iāve been watching the NBA for 11 years now and I have never, ever seen a big or forward fail to succeed because of slenderness. Guards, for sure. Centers, maybe your role is more complicated. But outright a 3/4 played off the court for frame related reasons? Literally 0 examples of it happening in a decade. Giannis was already good and effective as a twig, so were Ingram, Jon Isaac, Mikal, Chet, Mobley, Claxton, DJJ and others. The skinny guys who failed often failed for other reasons. Poku BBIQ was in the toilet, same with Bol and Bamba, Ziaire Williams was a touted shooter and canāt shoot, Reddish is just comically bad at scoring within the 3pt line and shot under 40% from the rim in college so we saw it coming. āToo skinny to be goodā isnāt real.

Giddey an All Star in the East? Unless he puts the Bulls in the top 5, it's not happening because there are many guards in the east who have similar styles to his or are just better. Dame, Maxey, Trae, Halliburton, Brunson, Lamelo, Jrue Holiday and Derrick White (All Stars off defense alone), Jalen Brown (shooting guard), Donovan Mitchell, Garius Garland. How will Giddey get more votes than any of these players? Add he is not as likable at least based on last year. That could all change though but he was booed in a lot of arenas.
Matas can be ROY if he plays next to Zo with the 2nd unit because they think alike. Fast! There is a difference of PG who plays in transition and PG who plays fast. Giddey is a transition guard but not a fast guard.

I'm an OKC fan and honestly I can't fathom that they traded Giddey. He was a big part of why they just went 57-25 and finished 1st in the west massively exceeding all expectations and was part of the core four group of players with Chet, SGA and JDub that made them great. Why would you possibly want to break that team up or change things when you had a year like that? OKC is going to be really sorry when they see what Giddey does this year. He is about to go off.

No doubt he will eventually be an all star, sooner than later! Iq and decision making off the charts! Dude is huge too! Notice he just bullies these guards inside. Tough asf too!
