what bothers me about vucevic is that our front office signed him. twice. oh and he sucks.
I didn't even really know who he was when we traded for him and he is actually one of my favorite parts of this era. When he was on, shit was exciting. Getting the middle finger meme, the "poor little number nine" poster call from Stacey, the random ass "1/5 from 3" games where he hits a couple clutch ones in the 4th…I'm less bummed about him not panning out than I am about Zo going down. The offseason we got Zo I was big on Fred Van Vleet and Zo and getting that alert that we got him was exciting. The front office took a swing. Coming from Garpax "We don't know how to build around Jimmy Butler" I have zero hard feelings. Lets just move on and get the young guys going. I BELIEVE IN YOU, PWILL! Stop BSin, son!
I disagree that Vuc hasn't worked or given enough to the Bulls team. Vuc didn't come to the Bulls as a developmental player, he was already a top skilled player at his position which is why he was worth two draft picks that were projected to be mid to late round firsts. If he came to the team and worked hard but didn't always feel like he was being utilized fully I can see where a player could become less motivated. If a player feels like he could be a first or second best option and then becomes the third or fourth option, especially when it matters late in games I can see that having an impact. Big men in this sport dont always have the ability to get the touches they may want. Put Vuc in with a lineup of high scoring, ball dominate players like Demar & Zach and at times he isn't getting the ball unless he is boarding, which he did. How many games over the years has the Bulls been competitive and looked really good against good competition when they were passing more and getting Vuc involved more, only to see the team stagnate, settle for outside shots, and fall behind in games when those shots start missing?
Agreed. Vuc really isn’t that guy with that attitude
Bingo what I've been saying about his poor leadership or lack of mentorship and emotions on the court with refs etc
How is he supposed to defend the paint and rebound when Coaching has him Chucking 3’s from the arc. They playing him like a Jokic type player, except ball aint Going through him. He has good passing ability, high iq, and a selfless player, he makes the right play. Except the coach aint using ANY PLAYER in the right way.
Hence Donovan playing undersized guards and Wings at the 4. Caruso, Green, DJJ.
But Vooch’s game on the international stage when he plays for montenegro..
I like this channel, but this a Scapegoat video on a Player that is not being Utilized in anyway like he was In Orlando, but expecting him to have the same production…. And By the Way Vooch has proven to be a Reliable Double double Machine.
I’m not saying he’s great and nothing is his fault, he’s definitely bad on defense. But expecting him to do the extra for the community, is nitpicking. 😂
Vooch is playing literally the same game WCJ was playing Before he got traded for VOOCH.
Vooch has been a bit better at the 3 than wcj,
And back when bulls had WCJ He also Was terrible on defense Stepping down on P&R instead of in the shooters face.
Why did the resign him? THATS the worst move management made.
I liked the trade for about 15 minutes until I realized how old Vooch was at the time. That and the 2 picks were a near-instant red flag for me
Its very obvious in the few years we’ve had vooch. He doesn’t like it here at all. He gives off Vibes of someone that dreads coming to work in the morning and doesn’t stay a minute longer than he needs to.
The last time we saw Vooch as an actual decent player was the year we lost Lonzo to Injury. Since then it’s been lower effort coming from him with last season being at its worst.
Yet so many ppl defend this guy saying the problem is the lineup, it’s Billy’s fault or AKME’s fault.
At some point Bulls fans gotta face the fact that Vooch just wasn’t the guy for us.
I think it would have been much better if the Bulls traded for Aaron Gordon instead of Vooch. Then the 4 position would have been solidified at an earlier point.
Yeah we don’t get Demar anymore but I actually believe we could have had something decent to build on earlier instead of wasting time.
Okay first, I also felt at the time of the trade in 2021 it was a great move…for an Orlando Vooch type player, yeah all day.
But my problem is not with the initial trade, it’s with the re-signing of Vooch for 3 years/60 million after seeing and knowing he was the type player he has become.
And if Vooch was so unhappy about being here and the circumstances around his lack of usage, why did he re-sign for 3 more years here?
The Bulls FO as well as Vooch could have solved this problem in 2023 by going their own separate ways.
We don't give him the Ball 🏀 .. and the bulls turn him into role player because the Bulls wanted to build around Zach Lavine just to see Derozan is better than him and they both had identical playstyles. Vooch was an all star before he got here. Of course he don't care some.

I don't like Vuc, but this take about his "demeanor" and not "being bought in" is super unfair. I think his demeanor is perfectly normal and professional. He's commented various times and how he hasn't shot well, so it's not like he doesn't take the blame. He just hasn't played well. It's all about the on-court stuff with him. Similar to Lavine.
To me my opinion that was a great trade because the hype around Vuc I didn’t watch not one single Orlando game when he was there so we got sold a dream he’s trash can ssa😭
Ok I’m sorry I love my bulls and fans but everyone needs to look back and realise that lonzo Zack demar vuc and Caruso was a great team when they were all together they were first in the east they were shooting 3s passing and playing great defense with lonzo running the offense and shitting down the permitter so to say it was bad trades and a mistake is just wrong we just got unlucky between lonzo being out for 2 years instead of 6 weeks Zack getting hurt abd playing selfish and vuc playing the worst in his career but if we look back if those guys didn’t fall off and get hurt this team would have been easy top 4 in east so let’s just stop with this was a disaster it was just straight unlucky
While watching this video I actually just realized that vooch has kind of been an asshole
Vooch and Lavine have always had terrible body language, they almost never look like they’re having fun. This front office has really done a job on the franchise. I have zero confidence they’ll turn it at anytime soon
I agree with you to an extent. He was so misused here tho, sacrificed living at the 3 point line even tho he isnt a good 3 point shooter to give more space to zach and demar. He was a post player in orlando, and had good IQ. Instead he has had to watch a player with zero IQ dominate the ball. And up until last year, vooch has been getting almost all the blame while demar and zach just played hero ball and took no blame. I dont know about you, but if the fan base i played for constantly bad mouthed me the way they have vooch since he has been here, i wouldnt be getting involved in the community either.
Just subbed bro keep it up you’ll go big one day 🔥🔥
Completely wrong this was a bad move from day 1 and I called it. the bulls where headed no where except the bottom of the playoff seeding a team in that position does not make an all ij trade and sacrifice their future.love the channel but this is a bad and wrong take thats been proven
I'm with you my friend it was not a bad trade. His attitude is laughable, and he is not the kind of player you want to have in your roster.
No you're wrong. Lots of Bulls fans thought that trade was 🗑 when it happened, including myself. Why do you trade a younger player AND 2 picks for a non-defense, 30+year old who was an end of the all-star bench, barely all- star? Made no sense then, and the trade has proven itself to be the failure it would inevitably be
I hated this trade… he was always trash but he was the best player on the Magic so his value was way higher than it should have been
He did say it once ..
What if this trade didn't happened at all, what could have been?
PG- COBY WHITE
SG- ZACH LAVINE
SF- PATRICK WILLIAMS
PF- FRANZ WAGNER
C- WENDEL CARTER JR.
PG- AYO DOSUNMU
SG- ALEX CARUSO
SF- JULIAN PHILLIPS
PF- TORREY CRAIG
C- ANDRE DRUMMOND
Glad you did this video and this is why I don’t like the Billy Donovan shade and criticism he gets from people in general… These players like Zach and Vuc have been problematic in ways that had very little to do with his coaching if at all anything but I digress! Great perspective on this one frfr.
Punching down on Vuc is sad and a sorry way to go.. Vuc is not nearly a problem and you cant even get to Vuc before you get to 5 other issues 1st. Vuc is not a problem. He shows up, he plays, he plays hard.. This is a Terrible, Terrible take and quite honestly disappointed with you on this. Its WEAK.. If everyone had his ethic, this team would not have any problems. He does is job and is still a top 12 center, which is the hardest position to fill with an above average player.. You sound terrible and I have been riding with you for YEARS. Your dead wrong here and its ULTRA CASUAL to point to VUC when talking about problems on this team.. Casuals take this route and I really expected more from you… You should know better than this,…. I believe you do, your caving to casual narratives. And those Casual Narratives make Bulls fans look absolutely crazy out here in the real world.. You are off base bro.. and I just cant you actually went SUPER CASUAL.. This is terrible, I really considered you a person that fans can trust to Mimic or Parrot, but this is a sign that you are falling off.. You do this again , Im gonna have to Unsub and consider you like I consider CHGO's Bulls coverage. Super Casual, Super Shortsighted, Super inferior, Super ridiculous takes by people that only see what they want to see and they have ppl like Hayze out here looking crazy when they parrot their speaking points. Do better bro.. you can not be serious about underachieving on this level..
Well at least Vooch is not as bad as Carlos Boozer when he was with the Bulls. Boozer was complete trash and really did not help out Rose in any meaningful way
This really was a good trade at the time. You look at Mikal Bridges going for 5 first round picks and Vucevic went for 2. They were pretty much equal in talent at the time when they were both traded
Bruh fax! I had high hopes for him! fr he was balling in Orlando…He don't rebound, don't play defense, stands at the three point line and calls for the ball…shit shooting %…shoulda kept Gafford, Wendell, or Andre..Forreal G he looks like he needs to retire. I understand if you're declining it's uncontrollable, but effort and attitude is something u CAN always control. Just terrible. Idk why they resigned him to that 3 year deal smh. Hyped on the Jalen Smith accuistion! Huge upgrade, goes with the timeline of the young talented core! His skillset is everything they've needed. Vooch will be at traded at deadline, and they ain't going to go shit for him….Frustrating they've been delusional with this guy. Bruh is flat out butt juice lol.. You're straight up on point with everything you spoke bro! Great vid bro!
Double doubles dont grow on trees
But you didn't notice. When vucevic was having the highest inflated stats in 2021. The magic roster were completely depleted in that season. He takes volume of shots and that's the lesson. They sold high
U are right !!!
His mind wasn't there. To me this is just a job for him with the Bulls. Comes in, clocks in, clocks out. Bye.
Bonus : I was upset when he was first row for a magic game in Orlando. Reminds me of Wade with Miami Heat attachments m.
For the trade part: I always said: it would be a good one with just one frp
I liked where the Bulls were going, till they made this trade… they had young fast players willing to play defense, then they traded for Vucević? To me personally it killed all their potential as a team, He’s not that type of player so I can see why he feels like he sacrificed a lot by being there… they didn’t know how to use him. Bad GM bad Coaching! (I won’t even mention Injury Lovine)
He's just a very average player. Bulls bet on the wrong guy. As they often do
You can most of that about Zach too. No leadership off court or on court. Low effort, engagement. AK really screwed us with wanting to build around two of the most empty stat low motor no sense of competitive fire guys in the whole league.
Trading for Vuc was the worst decision. I have to disagree with this from a basketball perspective 😌
His career stats tells me he definitely wasn’t worth 2 1st round picks
