(Robb) Jaden Springer is eligible for an extension ahead of opening night but I’m hearing it’s very unlikely a deal gets done there…Boston’s massive future salary commitments make it unlikely they will find common ground with Springer’s camp on a new deal before evaluating him for a full season…

Of course we’re not giving him an extension. He hasn’t done anything
LOL he has literally done nothing. Zero value over bringing in any G leaguer.
With a $4M cap hit for 2024/25, I think there’s a chance he’s a salary dump before the regular season
Even if Springer starts making threes and takes a step into a playable rotation guy, with the current market I don’t see him getting much more than a minimum unless someone really values his potential growth at his age.
You got guys like Gary Trent and Tyus Jones taking minimums. Springer taking a slight leap isn’t gonna make him much more even at his age.
Right now what he’s fighting for is likely battling Walker as the rotation Wing/Guard after the playoff rotation. If Walker is just better than him and plays ahead of him, he’ll definitely get moved at the deadline.
Still would like to try to develop him but I understand shit gets tight in this cap position
hes still an interesting piece cuz his defense is good already and hes still young (21). Lonnie is 25 and is only likely here for this year only regardless of how well he does. Springer would be a great piece if he could even hit league avg from 3 when open.
Cool that Osheas Pic is the thumbnail…
99% chance he gets moved at the deadline. It will save like $25 million
Oshae in the thumbnail had me getting my hopes up thinking we are resigning him.
