With the 2024-25 NBA season about to begin, the Portland Trail Blazers face low expectations, projected as one of the weakest teams in the league. Their current roster, made up of young talents still finding their place and a few veterans, is far from being a threat in the highly competitive Western Conference. Among those veterans is Jerami Grant, who is about to start his third season in Portland, but he might be on his way out.
Rumors suggest that the Blazers might trade Grant before the February 2025 trade deadline, with one possible destination being the Los Angeles Lakers. According to Bleacher Report, the Blazers should keep an eye on Rui Hachimura if they decide to move forward with the trade. Hachimura, who had a solid season averaging 12.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game, along with an excellent shooting percentage, could be the piece Portland is looking for to strengthen their roster and continue their rebuilding process.
Despite the various rumors linking Grant to the Lakers, no deal has been finalized yet. However, Grant’s versatility and experience, combined with Hachimura’s potential, make this a trade that could benefit both teams. For the Blazers, Hachimura could bring the consistent scoring they need, while the Lakers could further bolster their title pursuit.
With Hachimura ready for the season, whether with the Lakers or another team, the stage is set for one of the most intriguing moves before the trade deadline. The question remains: will we see the young Japanese star shining at the Staples Center or wearing new colors in Portland?

  1. The lakers, should include
    ROBERT WILLIAMS, in the
    JERAMY GRANT TRADE.
    PORTLAND WOULD
    RECEIVE, TWO UNPRO-
    TECTED
    1ST ROUND PICKS, AND
    THREE LAKER PLAYERS:
    Its a WIN WIN situation,
    For both teams.
