All I’m asking is for Jamal to prove to us that he’s worth the contract this season 🙏🏾

  2. Both_Funny4896

Well deserved. But we have to be honest, he needs to be better going forward or it might look like an overpay eventually.

  3. IllEstablishment8291

I think this is an overpay and I hope Jamal proves me wrong. Do it, Mal.

  4. dilbertsfriend

Manifesting 70 games played this season for Jamal 🙌🙌

Jamal Murray, Nugget for life ⛏️💍

  6. masonb423

Love Jamal but it’s hard to feel good about this with his injury issues and inconsistent play. Feels like the Nuggets didn’t really have a choice but to offer him the max.

  7. ttttyttt678

Overpaid, but the front office had like no choice.

  8. Escapegoat07

Jamal’s been reading the hate — hope he’s ready to bring it and prove the haters wrong.

  9. We’ve gotten the best out of him when he felt like we believed in him when no one else did. This offseason has a lot of those dynamics, let’s hope he comes with that mindset and puts in the work to overcome what was bothering him in the playoffs and olympics

So were the “rumblings” because Moach wanted Jamal to get paid and Booth was on the fence?

  11. kushlash16

Don’t know if we really had a choice with this, but man – what a risk this is. If Jamal plays like he did this year, he will cripple the Nuggets and end the Jokic title window.

If he can miraculously stay healthy and return to the level of play he had during our title run, this will be a bargain

  12. BigMT_enjoyer

52 million a year, yeah we’re so cooked if he plays like he did during the offseason again

  13. SeaworthinessOdd548

I’m indifferent about this. Yeah they had no choice but also Jamal’s been lackluster as of recent to say the least. Just gotta hope he improves back to his championship playoff run self with more consistency and no injuries.

  14. I like Jamal but he’s just not a max player and he’s inury prone, hopefully he’ll prove me wrong.

  15. Negative_Pilot8786

Who were the nuggets negotiating against exactly? I don’t think there was anyone else out there interested in offering him a max

    This is a bad move

  16. shadratchet

I love Jamal. This contract is already worth it IMO

  17. PreparationNo4843

So AG will be gone next year?

I do not have any knowledge with salary caps. Please give a wrinkle to my smooth brain

Have you guys ever been used to having frequent, awesome sex, but then the last time you weren’t very good, then didn’t have sex for a few months and everyone on Reddit keeps saying you aren’t good at sex, but then the Denver Nuggets still believe you are good at sex and give you $200mil? It’s a good feeling and is similar to this situation.

  19. OneWildAndCrazyGuy17

There you go, we have picked our guys. It’s jok and Murray their whole career. I personally, am ecstatic.

  20. Hopefully it’s one of those contracts that increases throughout the years & matches the salary cap growth. I don’t hate the extension

  21. petarisawesomeo

Finally I don’t have to be annoyed with the daily Broncos talk

  22. Shenanigans80h

I know people are low on Jamal rn after an injury season and some rough decision making in his last series, but idk, I am far from giving up on this guy or calling this an overpay. We don’t win a championship without Jamal. Hell we never make a WCF without him. Obviously he still has some things to prove, but I’m happy and looking forward to him proving them.

  23. nenanasainyam

fuck – jamal you gotta be an actual all star level player this year please

  24. SuperDoubleDecker

We all knew this was happening. Just gotta have faith now and hope he can stay healthy.

I just hope AG can stay around too.

  25. Doomers rise up!

I really wanted him to do a “Brunson move” and take a massive paycut for the sake of the team and keeping the project Dynasty rolling, but well that’s what we got

  26. Donnie1490

Interesting news comes out about Malone vs management and then this happens right after

  27. Fuck all y’all hating, I’m happy we locked him up.

  28. swordfischh

Totally deserved. Got our guy locked up

There’s a post on r/nba debating who the top 10 point guards are, and I find it hilarious so many guys who haven’t done anything in the playoffs are rated above Murray there

  29. romayyne

Now yal can shush about it. It’s done, move on

  30. manbeqrpig

Necessary and terrible at the same time. It’s so incredibly frustrating to see this Front Office ruin the rest of Jokic’s prime

  31. pfeifits

Cool. I wonder why he was delaying. Wishing him the best of health.
