This game is legendary for us grizzlies fans. My wife was a that game as a teenager and she’ll never forget what greatness looked like in real time.

How does this affect Lebron’s legacy?

Jordan had something like 10 points on 4 of 11 shooting and had been pulled from the game when Martin poked the bear. He got 19 in the 4th to finish with 29.
Byron Scott wanted to fucking kill Darrick Martin for this… Scott was the person actually guarding Jordan and had to deal with the fury. Martin got to watch it all from the bench. After the game Scott screamed at Martin that he wasn’t allowed to talk shit to anyone but the player he was guarding.

Mike had to show him greatness

Apart from what he achieved, MJ is my GOAT because he was so pathologically motivated to dominate others and win. Like, he clearly wasn’t in a healthy mindset. At the end of the day, a motivated MJ was brilliant to watch yet terrifying at the same time. Especially to those he played. The man wanted to tear you apart.

I was at this game! Was incredible!

Probably the best clip I’ve seen on Michael Jordan. Encapsulates his attitude and skill.

That was incredible. Been a Jordan fan my whole life and never knew this.
Also Martin you’re still a dummy for saying “learning lesson.”

Real psychopath shit, you just had to make him turn into the hulk. But I remember people just couldn’t help themselves and would make MJ mad all the freaking time

Darrick Martin’s other ideas were to start a land war in Asia and to go in against a Sicilian when death was on the line

Weird how there aren’t any Lebron stories like this. 20 years in the league and not one

Man, Jordan was just so cool

I was at this game. I’ve been to 4 games in my life and I was at this game. It was electric. Jordan went bonkers.

the face of the guy on the hornets bench tells the whole story. 2:05 left in the video, man’s jaw is dropped

Martin was 5’10” tall. He had some pretty good games for the Clippers, I used to have season tickets
I did see Shaq almost catch an attempted murder charge and a flagrant once when Martin drove down the middle on him, I can’t believe Martin got up.
But, it was not as brutal as what I just watched

amazing editing to tell the story, i hope one day we’ll see a superstar of MJ’s caliber and pettiness again. The only one who sniffed it was Kobe, it is surreal sometimes to think Kobe copied everything from MJ down to his personality that highest praise/biggest backhanded compliment we can say about Kobe was that he was a poor man’s MJ
