He will get that ship before this current contract is up and then he will get the ten year max contract.
Yes, if the Knicks play the Celtics in the playoffs, Brunson has to play well, but he’s not the key to them winning the series. The key is a healthy Mitchell Robinson & OG Anunoby. Anunoby is thoroughly capable of shutting down whoever they put him on which will be either Brown or Tatum and disrupting Boston’s offensive flow.
The Knicks are set up to bring 48 minutes of pain on defense every night. Their only Achilles heel is them having an off night offensively while playing a taller team who can push the ball and shoot at a high percentage. Think Celtics and/or Pacers.
