  1. I was just thinking about this playing 2K a couple hours ago. And I know, it’s 2K, not real life.

But after playing a few other teams in the West it is pretty worrying to me. There are loads of talent in this conference, so many young superstar guards like SGA, Ant, Ja, etc. And our go to guy to guard them is… nobody? I know Mavs fans have ran “point of attack” into the ground and that the consensus is that it will be a combination of Naji/PJ/QG etc but its different when you’re playing it out and realizing oh wait, our best option to guard prime SGA right now in our main/closing lineup is actually 35 year old Klay Thompson…

Idk. Maybe im overthinking. But it is something to think about.

I also think OKC is gonna be lowkey terrfiying. Can you imagine how annoying it would/is gonna be to play a playoff series against them with Lu Dort playing football against Luka, Alex Caruso hounding Kyrie nonstop, SGA getting whistles every five seconds, now Hartenstein to back up Chet from getting bullied by Lively and Gafford… ew

  2. Eyes need to be entirely on the Grizzlies. I actually think that OKC isn't nearly as much of a threat as the Grizz being a diet version of the Celtics with an insanely switchable defensive core, the best cutter in the league in Ja, and maybe one of my most exciting matchups of the year; JJJ vs. Lively.

Can the Mavericks space the Grizzlies enough with Klay, PJ, and the like to give Luka & Kyrie space to work? Will JJJ take that continued step forward as an offensive threat to really pressure 5 out? Can the Mavericks force Ja into being either a passer or scorer, even if he is very good at both? Will Desmond Bane ever have a bad game against the Mavs?

I know its a lot, but I think they are EASILY the most threatening team in the West going into Day 1. They weren't here this year because of injuries, but they have everything and more to go just as far as us.

  3. The Suns are a failed experiment, not sure when people will accept that and move on because last year they were abysmal. I expect players to start fleeing like rats on a sinking ship by the end of this season.

  4. I think the west will look like this….
    Thunder
    Mavs
    Twolves
    Phoenix/Denver
6-10 is a toss up, but I think the teams involved will be Kings, Pelicans, Memphis, Golden State, Houston, San Antonio. Then to me it’s obvious that the Jazz and Portland are in a terrible class of their own. Did I miss somebody? lol.

  5. Fantasy does require skill to be good every year .. and I’m one of them ones . Yall just suck

  6. I remember the days of dunk contest being the opening song … and now we got this … this feels like gentrification 😩

  7. The national Glazefest of OKC is out of control. Dallas is the better team, had the better off-season, and last time I checked… Sent OKC home in 6 just a few months ago.

The Chet & Hartenstein on-court pairing is a bigger questionmark than Klay in the starting lineup for the Mavs. OKC upgraded 2 rotation pieces while the Mavs upgraded 4. People act like because OKC was the #1 seed they were a runaway juggernaut like Boston last year, but they were 1.5 games away from being the 3rd seed & had the most health luck in the league.

  8. We certainly on paper look to be improved over last year, however we had 2 super stars that both played at a very high level and our role players played well mostly but inconsistently. Remember we lost Irving, Maxi to injuries for alot of games and Luka was hurt yet played but it certainly effected his game in the playoffs. But the team played really well the second half of the season especially on the D side. Can this years team #1 stay healthy, #2 hit their 3 balls, #3 play solid D. #4 shoot free throws well. #5 simply jell as a team and all accept their roles.

  9. Thunder, Timberwolves, Nuggets, Kings, Rockets, Suns, Pelicans and Clippers all can certainly go on a role and getting back into the top tier to earn home court advantage will be huge.

  10. Luka got outplayed by SGA. PJ Washington and Lively were the big differences
