I’m sure that’s all true (and I love Demar), but he’s not really gonna come out and blatantly say: “Sacramento offered the highest/longest salary”.
And the other difficulty is that Chicago was so cheap that they wanted to take back the least amount of money possible, requiring a 3rd team to get involved.
I reckon (as I did after his S&T to Chicago) that if one of those other teams offered close to this salary, and they could get the deal done with Chicago, that he would probably be elsewhere right now (particularly LA).
