This last season is the first season that Kuminga had a positive impact on Steph's minutes. In previous seasons he had a tough time understand Steph's movement/gravity. and what makes the Warriors so difficult to guard. This last season he figured it out. I have been a "TRADE KUMINGA" guy for the last 3 years because I thought it would take him a while to become valuable for this team. BUT, he is now valuable for this team. So its no longer trade Kuminga. A defensive lineup with him, Wiggins, and Draymond is going to be scary for other teams to deal with.
Warriors are going to be a problem this season for anyone paying attention.
For reference, Kuminga was 21 this year and averaged 22ppg (per 36) in his third season. In Klay's third season, he was 23 and averaged 18.7 per game (per 36).
No, he has not done anything, really. He doesn't play d Defense consistently, and sometimes he doesn't give up a good shot for a better shot. And he doesn't really like to pass the ball and sometimes doesn't read the play and he doesn't make the Hustle plays.

Bruh Kerr and the organization knew what they were doing. They knew he could play and put up more stats but they played him less so they can pay him less when comes the extension. Same with Moses Moody.
Kuminga could've dropped 20ppg last season if they played him more since October 2023.
Yet he still out uo 16ppg and when they played him kore in Jan-feb 2024 he average 20pg since.
I will say he is already that guy and Kerr knows it.
We will be fine as JK the second option plus the bench we have now while Steph still Steph and Dray hopefully stays out of trouble

JK might be good but might not he is one move basically. He has nitcdhie to be a great defender one on one he's a help defender. I feel Moidy has shown much more with less time in the floor. One year deal at 30+ minutes a game to prove what he is and what type of value an extension should be worth. Never think to extend now unless at 15-20 so he can easier be unloaded if does not prove. Look at the more recent case of Poole. He had a great year BUT was never proven other than 1 year. The nezt year begins with a fight with Green along with his mega turnovers and horrendous lack of 3pt shooting shocked all the sports world. Luckily a trashy team took on his excessively high extension.
Jk proved a lot of interesting things when finally given half a season of minutes. He needs a full season to show us a lot more so we may have a clear idea of a realistic valuation. This is not Wemby we are discussing. This is an unknown that has looked great with minutes and improved more in this short time than he has the last 3 years total. Lets see 30+ minutes for 82+ games before thinking once about a bigger money extension.
