This was Chuck’s 13th season in the league. He was 34 years old and physically a shell of his former self (still averaged 19/13/4 though).

It took 11 more seasons for KG to get his ring.

Steph left the Wolves 2 years after this clip.

Edit: For some reason I always think that Steph had a short stint in the NBA before for heading to China but he actually played 15 seasons!

I really think he’s one of those players that underachieved. He had so much hype about him back in the day. I was a big ‘Starbury’ fan around 00/01 as the Raps often played the Nets and he’d always ball out.

[Also this game was the shit.](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/98/Nba_Ballers.jpg)

  2. Man, I loved that team, Marbury, KG, peak Tom Gugliotta sprinkled with some veterans presence from Terry Porter and Sam Mitchel. Too bad the ownership was garbage back then and would not pay these guys.

I was too young to know vet Chuck. I barely remember his last game.

Real sage advice from him. And I think it went right through Marbury’s head like it was empty.

When he said “Take this ass whooping and learn from it” he reminded me of Mom when she whooped my ass for getting suspended in school 🤦🏿‍♂️😵‍💫

Sucks KG had to win one with the Celtics of all teams but after how badly the Twolves did him idc he deserved it

Facts. I know losing your first playoffs is terrible especially when your young but when the OG’s kick knowledge just listen. They been in that position as well.

It’s been stated a million times before, but Steph and KG were such a dynamic coupling, and were touted as the next Stockon and Malone. They were super exciting, had great chemistry, and really did match well together. It’s a shame they broke up so early.
