[Bontemps] The one thing you could say that’s a disappointment for the Sixers from the way everything went [this summer] is they were really close to getting Nicolas Batum back. He was going back and forth between going back to Philly or going back to the Clippers.

I remember before the free agency started. Kneubeck mentioned that he was confident that Batum would come back, but it would take more than vet min.

I think their original plan was to offer him significantly more than vet min, but when the free agency started, they realized both PG and Caleb Martin were a real possibility. So, they pivot and only had vet min left for him. So, he took more money and signed with clippers

Mans gotta do what is best for his family. No hard feelings. Wish him all the success in LA.

Sucks he’s gonna miss out on getting a chip this year

    Well he doesn’t have a no-trade clause.

“See honey I chose to come to LA because I’m a FA, these guys traded me against my will”

If Clippers stink by December/January and we’re really rolling, seems like we have a lot of attractive options for an easy trade.

His fundamentals were some of the best I’ve ever seen. Thanks Nico

Absolutely the last piece of the puzzle. But hoping Yabu can keep his Olympic level play and start at the 4 and push Oubre to the 6th man

I like Nic a lot, but he is a thousand years old.

The French national team really could have used prime Batum in the gold medal game.

I’m sure if only he had the say, it would be close.
