News of Wiggins’ father passing made me think back on this article after the 2022 Finals about Wiggins’ bond with his daughters & how proud his father was getting to see Andrew experience his journey that year with them. ❤️

This is the best post – thank you for sharing it. I hope it blows up and people read these words. Not only does it show how much his father meant to him, it shows that his father ADORED his kids as much as Andrews ADORES his daughters. It’s beautiful to see, and makes the care 22 showed his father during the last two years even more important.

From his father, ““Everybody realized the talent he (22) had early on, the athletic talent,” his father said. “But the biggest thing that me and his mom are proud of is the man and the son that he became. He’s a father that adores his kids, like I adore my kids. When I see him with his girls, his eyes light up. As a father, that’s when I’m most proud.”

    Thank you!

This puts a lot of things into perspective!

It is good to have closure and peace!

Now… I have a feeling we are about to see a revenge/inspiration tour for the ages!

When Andrew gets focused and determined the NBA is in trouble!

RIP to papa-Wiggs. hope they take their time to grieve and mourn. the real Dubs fans share our condolences to the family.

and to others who said a lot during the past season, I hope you don’t go through what Wiggs went through. and I hope your apology will be as loud as your disrespect.

I hope this message sticks with Andrew and he’s got some closure through his experience over the last two years. His babies are growing up and even better able to appreciate his abilities now. He’s still got so much left, and I hope he plays less distracted this season with something to prove, knowing his father is looking down on him with pride. He can still contribute meaningfully to a contender. It’s now or never with Curry and Green. It’s time to shine.

  5. As a father, this hits. Prayers to the Wiggins family. 😢
