We get it, Lief; you really want this year's Jazz to be one of worst teams of all time so they can get a high draft pick. As a fan, that's just not fun, especially before the season even starts. We want to cheer on guys like Svi to overachieve, Sexton to have a 40-point game, or John Collins to have some amazing high-flying dunks. Heck, it would be nice to get a surprise win or two over teams like the Lakers, Celtics, or Nuggets. The young guys will get plenty of time and it won't kill this team's growth if the vets get minutes, too. Enjoy the journey and stop trying to act like getting more than 15 wins this season is somehow going to curse the future of the franchise.
To think you can describe a player as a "bust" or a "success" after their first season (or even two) sounds kind of ridiculous. Not least because player success is almost never a clear binary- a 1/0, yes/no, bust/star. There are a lot of levels between the alternatives of the binary, and players get to their "final form" at different rates both physically and skill wise.
