[Wojnarowski] Free agent G Landry Shamet has agreed on a one-year deal with the New York Knicks, his agent George S. Langberg of GSL Sports Group tells ESPN. Shamet has career averages of 8.7 points and 38 percent on three-pointers.

   And that’s going to be for our MLE. Good move by Leon Rose. This gives us a tradeable player as early as December 15 to hopefully acquire another C. Had the Knicks not made a signing before September 15 other teams would have a little bit of an advantage in the trade market. Shamet gets paid a full seasons pay wo having to accept any pro rated salary, and w the understanding that he will likely be dealt in a few months. Win/win deal for all involved. Landry made 10 mil last season so 5.1 mil is prob not a gross overpay. Teams could always use a quality shooter.

   in leon we trust, but i’m a bit confused why we didn’t sign a C with the MLE, even if it’s just to trade for a different C like we’re probably doing with shamet
