>Glen Taylor has subpoenaed the NBA in the ongoing fight over ownership of the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to multiple people familiar with the matter, a rare move that could potentially expose private league communications and financial information to a more public audience.
>The risk for the NBA with a subpoena is that it could compel disclosure of league communications regarding the Timberwolves that the league would prefer to keep confidential. The NBA might also worry about discussions regarding ownership in general, and revenue and contracts could be subject to disclosure in a subpoena. Although the Timberwolves arbitration is supposed to be confidential, there have already been leaks to media about it.

Doesn’t seem like a good look for Glen.

This is like blackmailing your boss to prevent someone else from getting a promotion. He must have some pretty damning shit on the NBA.

This is gonna get sooooo ugly. It would be such a Timberwolves thing to do to build the first legit long term team in our history and then just burn it to ground with greed and stupidity.

I just don’t understand, if I had a tiny fraction of Glen Taylor’s wealth I could be content and happy for the rest of my life. Just take your money and go enjoy your twilight years for Christ’s sake

I hate Glen like most. But I have to be honest, this seems pretty standard for a legal dispute. His team is gathering all information possible to try and win arbitration. I think it’s annoying but it seems pretty par for the course for this kind of thing.

Didn’t see this posted yesterday when the news came out, and thought there were a couple interesting tidbits from the [linked article](https://www.sportico.com/law/analysis/2024/glen-taylor-subpoena-nba-timberwolves-arbitration-1234797246/) in the tweet:
