Not only should the Thunder win the west, they should win 60 games and win the title. Their talent is above every other team right now. They have Alex Caruso and Isiah Hartenstein coming off the bench. They have Caruso/Dort/Chet as their top defensive guys (and they have others too), and they have SGA/Jalen for offense. This is their time. I am not an OKC fan but they should play every game thinking they should win the title

Star are aging out and soon to and large group of All time greats will retire (LeBron, KD, Steph, CP3, Klay, K. Leonard, Westbrook, and so on). So the NBA are quick to dub young up and coming teams as favorites bcuz they need new faces of the NBA to takeover and replace these old aging Superstars. So they push narratives like this to let the new guys know its their time and they can and need to step up now if they want to win it all and market themselves and be the new faces of the NBA. Its almost like a clandestine way of letting them know its their time and to act upon it while they can.
