Michael Scotto on X: Los Angeles Lakers are waiving two-way guard Blake Hinson, sources told @hoopshype. Hinson averaged 18.5 points and shot 42.1% from 3-point range at Pittsburgh. The 6-foot-8 guard’s shooting intrigued teams following the draft. He’s now expected to draw interest in free agency.

Even though we knew Castleton was safe I still question having two project centers on 2-ways. We have arguably 3 project centers in the team with Hayes depending on what potential you see in him.
We still need a starting calibre center.
Honestly the right call. I know Hinson was fun but he was pretty one dimensional and didn’t shoot well enough to justify a spot. I’d still like him on South Bay.
Wait so we got 3 2-way Centers? Interesting I thought they would’ve cut Traore or whatever his name is.
This is the right call. He’s another Swider, Matt Ryan etc
This surprise me. I thought that french guy would get the boot.
bummer to see Blake Hinson go. was keen to see how Hinson’s skillset would mesh with Redick’s emphasis on shooting and floor spacing.
but Koloko’s defensive potential is imho 100p worth it.
Wish it was castleton. I’m tired of seeing people pretend like he’s a NBA player
What????!!!!!!!
Miami Heat 2: electric Boogaloo
Wow. I really thought Castleton’s days were numbered, but I guess they’re either a.) committed to his development and/or B.) don’t trust our current big men to stay healthy. Either way, Blake Hinson was a lot of fun to watch in summer league. He’s a hell of a shooter. I gotta imagine somebody picks him up on a 2-way.
So dumb. He will sign with the Heat or Warriors and show out. I can’t stand Castleton he is a weak center with no real skill.
Who? Lol I’m playing.
