  1. Edey and Painter have mostly come out and said that Edey was ā€œheld backā€ in the sense Greg is implying. They said heā€™s had the ability to shoot but he scored at such an efficient rate down low in college that Purdue didnā€™t need him to shoot 3s.

  2. Purdue fan and I agree with the spin. I think painter valued the logic of an offensive rebound over edeys potential upside on the 3. A chess move that is uncommon to see today as a coach. Painter will hold people back for the betterment of the team. I don't think he is the only Purdue big who could shoot yet didn't.

  3. Bball coaches did same at almost positions. Coaches did not risk shooting threes.

Todays nba is less coaching and more green lighting many bad shooters in college and nba

How many nba games do you see and think wow. Games over or my team is down 15-20 in 1st qtr or at half?

The three can be fun but rarely does media talk about the risk to the game

Very few players ate Curry or Ms Clark. Too many gunners coaches dont control so hats off to painter and Underwood for putting team first. Good coaches – more coaches need to tell some players to stop gunning threes.

  4. Purdue fans in the know have been saying Edey can shoot for over 2 years! Not a news flash, Edey can shoot but don't help your opponent. Everyone was trying to pull Edey out from the rim and him shooting 3's does just that. Edey is a monster down low owns the boards and that's where you want him, in college that is.

  5. If they stay healthy and Morant doesnā€™t get suspended again, Memphis is going to be a PROBLEM. Mavs fan here and Iā€™d rather see Denver and OKC in the playoffs.

  6. I played hockey with edey as a kid. I have no doubt heā€™ll have a long career in the nba as long as is able to stay healthy. He is just a natural athlete and at 7ā€™4 that is almost unheard of. Just a reminder he has been playing basketball for like 7 years when everyone else who got drafted have been playing for at least 10 if not 15. He still has so much room to grow.
