  1. Kemp was crazy. I remember everyone having him above pippen during the mid 90s.

When everyone is crazy no one is crazy

  3. BostonBuffalo9

Shawn Kemp was an absolute monster. Loved that guy’s game.

It’s a miracle these two never got into it. Two of the most batshit players of the 90s

  5. ImperialSympathizer

Rodman like “joke’s on you I’m into that shit”

Is there anyone you would compare to mid 90’s Kemp in the modern NBA? Obviously how the game has changed is a big part of that

  7. I remember this series so well being a diehard 90s Sonics fan. Such a heartbreak, but that team was so fun to watch. It was back when specialist still were a thing. Everyone did their own thing really well. Great era, Kevin Callabro on the local commentary, listening to KJR before the games getting hyped.

    Sonics need to come back.

what was more impressive for me was how calm and collected rodman was getting dunked on. he seems so uninterested or worried about what most players now throw a full on fit about. he just was like hmm okay damn whatever.

Sat his nuts right on Rodmans head,🤣💪🏿

That baseline shoulder dip spin into reverse dunk teabag is a thing of a beauty. And on Rodman no less.

No wonder the worm gave him a pat on the back. That was filthy good.

Those Sonics are super underrated these days. It seems like LeStans are constantly saying things “of course, MJ is 6-0 — look at his competition; Sonics, lol”. But the Sonics were actually a great team.

I really wanted them to win that series. I knew the Bulls winning was inevitable, but still.

  13. i am a firm believer that a fully healthy 96 sonics team would have beaten the 72-10 bulls in a 7 game series

  14. Wait he just put his nuts in his face and Dennis daps him up. Why are they not fighting to the death like I was told?

If you go look at his career stats you can pinpoint the offseason he picks up that infamous coke habit. Kemp was a monster before that

The thing I remember most from that ’95-’96 Bulls team is being in the Skydome and watching them lose to the expansion Raptors with Michael Jordan missing the potential game-winner at the buzzer.

  17. A couple great examples of why removing illegal defense has killed off post play.

It seems like Rodman respected the teabag.

Growing up here in the PNW Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton were my idols! Bring the Sonics back!

That Sonic ‘96 uniform/court combo is my all-time favorite.

Some outrageous plays that led right to a sweep.

Would have loved to see a version of the Bulls if they pulled the trigger on trading Pippen for Kemp in 1993.

  22. Dapper-Mistake4779

That spin move was really cool, crazy balance and agility for a guy with that much power, also Schrempf is underrated seems like he rarely gets mentioned even when this Sonics team is brought up.

Kemp was a monster this series and arguably deserving of FMVP on a losing team. It was this and Lebron in 2016 for IMO only legit losing performances worthy of FMVP discussion.

23.3 and 10 rebounds on 55/0/86 shooting with 2 blocks and 1.5 steals per game. If he didn’t have to deal with Rodman he probably would’ve had one of the top 5 finals performances in NBA history
