I spoke with the mods first before sharing this, and thought it was a relevant topic due to taking a look at Jalen Suggs' game. I recently made a video looking at his game, and saw some interesting things. The improved three point shooting along with All-Defensive team caliber perimeter defense are obviously very impressive. Though the main thing I'm interested to see is how he'll look facilitating more as he had some struggles operating out of pick and roll. Think even becoming a league average facilitator would be a huge boost given the spacing KCP should add. Looking forward to hearing what types of expectations you have for him this upcoming season.

It’s a lot to ask of suggs to expect a leap on offense when he’s putting the level of effort into defense that he did last year.

I very much doubt it simply because we’re not going to ask that of him. Being a god-tier 3-and-D guy is amazing. But he’s not our PG because he developed in that area. We moved on from Fultz and have committed, for the time being, to a pg-less/pg-by-committee starting line up, same as last season with Suggs and Harris. We’re not going to put that kind of pressure on him when he is already essentially QBing the defense. AB is still in the wings also, and it’s become very obvious that this FO has planned a long timeline for his development. We should look at KCP’s 3 year deal as the timeline for AB to become our starting PG (with Suggs at the 2, obviously). But we are not trying to develop Suggs into a traditional pg. He’ll improve naturally of course, it’s not like he’s a finished product a his young age.
