Mavericks GM Nico Harrison made one of the most underrated moves of the offseason with the Quentin Grimes trade! The Mavs traded Tim Hardaway Jr. and three second round NBA draft picks to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Quentin Grimes, who could play a big part in the rotation for Mavericks head coach Jason kidd. He probably won’t be in the starting lineup next to Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson, but he will come off the bench with Naji Marshall and Spencer Dinwiddier to make one of the best bench units in the NBA.     RE: Grimes. I like his game a lot, but I wonder how much playing time he can get? He's behind, Luke, Kyrie, Klay, Spencer, Naji. Not many minutes left if they all stay healthy.

    OK, guys ……. the headline was serious clickbait. I've watched Nico do too much cooking to not absolutely believe he may have pulled something off today while nobody was looking. This wasn't that.

    Grimes was a great pickup. I expect him to make a ton of impact in his minutes and won't be shocked if he's extended soon.

    With Kyrie, Luka and Klay all starting, I'm concerned about the defense. They're all limited on defense. If you start Lively, he's gonna have a big defensive burden trying to clean up after others. That's worrisome. I personally think it was a mistake to let go of Green.
