It’s weird for a franchise to have such a low bar for jersey retirement. VC on the nets was a beast but he was there for just 5 years and had no major year end or playoff hardware…

Only a matter of time until Toronto announces Vince’s special night. Between the leaked jersey and his hof induction, they’d be dropping the ball big time if it doesn’t happen.
If they decide to do nothing, it’s going to be very embarrassing.

I’m a little torn on this…based on his Raptors tenure, I would say he doesn’t deserve it. Based on his impact on Canadian basketball, he definitely does.

The Nets should retire VC’s Jersey. He got traded and suddenly ‘balled out’ in New Jersey. He was incredible. All he did in his last few seasons as Raptor was wince, sit out games and quit on the team and his teammates. It was a very sad era.
