Gil’s Arena REACTS To The Nuggets’ Era ENDING
The Gil’s Arena debates if the Denver Nuggets got a good deal with Jamal Murray’s MAX Contract Extension. He is almost a Super Max player but now has the pressure of performing and being an All-Star, will he continue in Denver? The discussion leads to what it is like being on a mismatch. And finally back to the Nuggets Championship hopes. According to Gil, Brandon, and Kenyon, it is slowly dwindling. They didn’t add enough pieces to be considered a growing team this year.

Gil sounds crazy. Most point guards are setup men. They arenโt score first. At least until this era. So if a guard gets an assist, itโs not by circumstance. Thatโs still bussin yo ass. You donโt accidentally get 15 assists.
I donโt understand how people donโt understand what Gil is saying. Heโs not saying 8 pts and 15 ast isnโt dominant. Heโs talking strictly from a 1 on 1 matchup standpoint. Nobody plays pickup ball and says I cooked my man by throwing dimes. Thatโs not the point of attack defenders fault every time. Obviously you know the POA man usually being the point can do things to make those passes harder but from an individual standpoint if Iโm scoring on you every time down the floor and youโre diming every time down the floor Iโm still gonna feel like I dominated cause you either missed your shot or passed it. Simple.

Check. As a PG. if I have 10 points 15 assist and 12 rebounds.. the only reason I can get those assist is because I beat youโฆand once the help comes I give a teammate the easy basket. Only reason the backdoor is available bc Iโm beating you everytime. Only reason I can have those assist on a bc Iโm beating my man and the help comes and does their jobโฆ.but rotation too fast and I now have an easy assist.
