If a Wemby-led defensive monster team is going to be created in San Antonio, they will need a versatile elite defender like Sochan on it.
its shown that Sochan was guarding best oposition players, that does not mean that he was playing great defence, he was average at most. Dont say no to gambling, say no, thank you
Again Clan, you are mistaking versatility and good defense.
He was asked to guard the best scorer on the other team…. so of course his versatility metric is high… That doesn't mean he did a great job guarding them!
As every of his D Metrics show he did an average (in fact below average) job on defense.
It just shows how bad Spurs were on D to have to rely on an average defender to guard the best scorer.

Wemby ranked 2nd just behind Gobert. He did not won the defensive player cause Gobert is just as good if not better of a defender. I don’t know why you are throwing this team defense argument.
Just like some of the comments here. Sochan guarding the opposing team’s best player doesnt necessarily mean he’s doing a good job against them. They are still putting up their numbers almost every time they face the Spurs.
