Dude was 6’6” but played like he was 6’10”

Just a reminder that Barkley shot 19% above league-average 2P% for his career. And 25% with Philly.

His athleticism and shot creation intertwined in the most beautiful way. An absolute freak of nature and his 76ers days in particular aren’t talked about enough because that organization did a horrible job of building around him.

One of the early scoring bigs who could regularly handle the ball and initiate

As a 90s baby who never saw him play and only knew him as the old funny chubby announcer.

I knew he was a problem in his days because almost every person 10 years older than me would say he was their favorite player. That gave me a hint he was the real deal

He was the perfect build for the era when the physicality was on another level (by physicality I mean elbows, forearms, etc).

  6. whiskeyinthejaar

He is what Zion should have been the last 4 years

Dawg. Thank you for posting. Great soundtrack too.

Chuck has become such a huge and famous personality that it seems people genuinely forget he was an absolute phenom – right behind MJ for the greatest of era, to me. In fact, put him on a better team for his prime and you have to wonder if his whole narrative isn’t completely changed. Those touch the back dunks were always the most satisfying – love watching that dude play.

Bro was jumping over defenders on ham hocks.

Philly Chuck was probably like Lebron when going downhill.

    Get out of the way

I wouldn’t say fat ass. He was solid against Shaq in the post. Beefy like chuck roast.

His thighs are twice the size of everybody else.

IIRC growing up there was a picket fence where he’d jump over and over again, wonder if that was a factor or he always was naturally a big man.

I loved watching his old games on the hardwood classics and his highlights growing up, he was among my favorites. He just kept his momentum going towards the hoop

Once Chuck put his head down going full steam at the basket, no one was stopping that

I learned that they call him the flying pig in China. This video reminded me of that

    I fucking love Chuck.

I was a kid when he was a sixer, and when he went to the suns, I asked my mom for a suns hat too

    What a fucking boss.

Chuck was an absolute beast. One of the best of all time. Badass

  17. There’s a reason Chuck D said,
“Simple and plain, give me the lane
I’ll throw it down your throat like Barkley”

  18. clutchutch

Chuck refusing to get up in that last clip so he could flirt with the cheerleaders haha classic

He’s Orlando Shaq in terms of overwhelming athleticism with the insane amount of muscle mass for the size, just 6″ inches shorter

  20. He is like a hippo, he looks round, but he is mostly muscle.

  21. DonaldKGBtrump

Haters gonna hate. He’s one of the best players ever to not get a chip.
