They are putting the Blazers on KATU, aka Sinclair Broadcasting, which is ultra right wing. It’s basically the local news equivalent of Breitbart or Fox News.

  2. So, does this make Blazervision unnecessary for those of us who have YouTube TV, since KATU is carried on that? And with YTTV, you have unlimited DVR, whereas Blazervision appears to not?

  3. Any indication on the Seattle market?

    Nvm read the tweet

Oh no I’m gunna miss root sports 🙁 just like I’m gunna miss draymond green when he retires

So what about Mondays and Saturdays where ABC-broadcast football will obviously be prioritized? Will they relegate Blazers to a secondary digital-only channel?

I feel like a dummy, but man it’s been so long I genuinely don’t remember, what happens exactly when it’s like a Tuesday and there is a new episode of Castle that overlaps with game time?

19.99 a month according to Highkin, not bad at all!

I wonder if they walk this back when/if the team gets good again

If your local and you want to watch the whole game on delay . Is the best bet to buy an antenna and a dvr box ?

Blazer vision says it’s not on demand until 60 minutes post game .

A tv tuner box for over the air stations has been such a great investment and this is just another reason to own one.

(It’s also great in case the internet is out but the electricity is still on and the entry cost is so low…)

So for those markets that do get Blazervision… Can I opt to use League Pass or will it be blacked out?

  12. Any word on access for those of us outside of Portland?

I was honestly expecting KPTV due to the Remix getting on the 2nd Fox channel, but regardless I’m glad to hear a streaming services within the broadcast area for those who don’t fuck with cable/don’t want to get a streaming service/don’t want to deal with OTAs

Getting in bed with Sinclair is cancer.  As someone who’s been a fan since ’89, I cannot support this team while they’re affiliated with that evil propaganda machine.  I’m incredibly disappointed in this organization.

This is the best Blazer-related news I’ve gotten in awhile

  16. pdxmarionberrypie

Wow I can’t believe they did the right thing

Kevin, LaMar, Michael and The Legendary Brooke Olzendam in the house!

The games are gonna be on Rip City TV Network, still OTA, it’s going to be one of Sinclair’s alt channels. They’ll have a handful of games simulcast on Rip City TV and KATU when there’s availability on channel 2, which will only end up being a handful of games this season probably 5-10 games

What? That is awesome! Finally some good news for blazers fans.

  20. marblecannon512

Thank god. Not happy it’s Sinclair media but it’ll be nice to watch games again

I don’t understand. This makes too much sense.

  22. gobeavs1

r/ripcity, we did it! We’ve been asking for this exact thing for years!

  23. palmquac

Wish it was KGW instead of Sinclair/KATU but other than that very minor complaint this is great news.

  24. terrordactylz

Any news on Spokane airing games if I have an antenna or will I need to sign up for the streaming option?

  25. Schonnz

Is it possible to watch KATU live on a laptop, or will I need to get BlazersVision for that?

  26. ClimbinInYoWindow

Fuck yes! It’s going to be on KVAL 13 in Eugene. Sweet!

  27. Will the Blazers follow the Suns lead and provide free antennas?

  28. jason8977

Maybe that snowball does stand a chance in hell.
